ufc fight night 114 oddsSergio Pettis is favored against Brandon Moreno at UFC Fight Night 114 in Mexico City, Mexico on Saturday night on FS1. The flyweight battle between Pettis and Moreno is one of six on the main card on FS1, while there are six preliminary bouts, with four on FS1 and two on UFC Fight Pass. Let’s take a look at the event with a focus on the main card and UFC picks.

UFC Fight Night 114 is set for Saturday, August 5 at Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico with the headliner a bout between Sergio Pettis and Brandon Moreno. There are six fights on the main card on FS1 and six preliminary bouts, with four on FS1 and two on UFC Fight Pass.

Sergio Pettis -166 vs. Brandon Moreno (rounds 2.5 over -165)

Pettis is 15-2 in his career, while Moreno is 14-3. Both fighters are on three-fight winning streaks and could be in line for a future title shot. Pettis said to MMAjunkie that this fight against Moreno will be exciting. “Brandon’s making his way up, and I’m making my way up,” Pettis said. “And one thing that interests me about this fight is that he’s a young fighter. He’s 23 years old, and me – I’m the same age, 23 years old. He’s hungry. I’m hungry. That’ll make me rise to the occasion. I’m excited to test his game.”

UFC Picks

Moreno just finds a way to win and he will have the advantage of the home crowd in Mexico. I will take the plus price and go with Moreno in this fight.

Alexa Grasso -160 vs. Randa Markos (rounds 2.5 over -300)

This battle of strawweights has Grasso a slight favorite. Markos is coming off a huge win against Carla Esparza and now she gets a chance to move up the rankings even further with a win over Grasso. I think Markos has a decent chance to get the win, so I will take the plus price.

Alan Jouban -165 vs. Niko Price (rounds 1.5 over -145)

This welterweight battle between Jouban and Price looks even and it should be exciting for as long as it lasts, as both are potent strikers. I will go under the rounds total.

Martin Bravo -300 vs. Humberto Bandenay (2.5 over -150)

Bravo will look to stay unbeaten as he takes on Bandenay. This should be a win for Bravo but the price is really high, so I will just take the rounds under.

Sam Alvey -155 vs. Rashad Evans (2.5 over -180)

UFC veteran Evans will try and stay relevant when he takes on Alvey on Saturday. Evans has lost his last three fights but this bout against Alvey is one he can win. I will take the plus price on Evans.

Alejandro Perez -125 vs. Andre Soukhamthath (rounds 2.5 over -166)

Perez is a slight favorite in this bout against Soukhamthath. This one looks really even, so I will pass on the side and just take the rounds over.

The four prelimins on FS1 have Jack Hermansson vs.  Brad Scott, Dustin Ortiz vs. Hector Sandoval, Rani Yahya vs. Henry Briones and Jose Alberto Quinonez vs. Diego Rivas. The two on UFC Fight Pass are Roberto Sanchez vs. Joseph Morales and Jordan Rinaldi vs. Alvaro Herrera.
