Pena promised to defeat Nunes and followed through with a submission. Nunes looked like she was ready to dominate early on but she got rattled early in the second round and couldn’t recover. Pena is aiming to defeat Nunes for a second time and hold onto the title that she picked up.

Meanwhile, Nunes wants to recover what was stolen from her. The stage is set for a high intensity grudge match between these two competitors with a bantamweight title on the line just to make it that much sweeter. The feeling is that Pena might be better than she was given credit for. She could be a live dog here.

Pick: Pena +285

Brandon Moreno vs. Kai Kara-France

Odds at BAS: Moreno -220

Pena and Nunes aren’t the only rematch that we will get to see during UFC 277. Brandon Moreno will take on Kai Kara-France in a rematch to determine who will become the interim flyweight champion.

Moreno was able to defeat Kara-France in their first matchup by unanimous decision. Kara-France has gone 4-1 since losing to Moreno back in UFC 245, including coming out on top in three straight fights. Moreno is fresh off a trilogy with Deiveson Figueiredo, which resulted in a draw, a win and a loss.

Moreno has changed up his gym and training regiment, so it will be interesting to see how he can perform with a lot at stake here against Kara-France. The winner will likely be awaiting a matchup with Deiveson Figueiredo when he is able to return from injury to once again put the title on the line.

Pick: Moreno -220

Derrick Lewis vs. Sergei Pavlovich

Odds at BAS: Pavlovich -130

This Saturday, Sergei Pavlovich will have a chance to prove to the world that he deserves to be ranked at the top of the heavyweight division. He will be taking on Derrick Lewis in order to prove to the crowd that he can get the job done.

Lewis has dropped two of three with the two losses coming via knockout. He’s been a longtime competitor in the division and isn’t an easy fight by any stretch. He typically either knocks out his opponent or gets knocked out. Each of his last five fights have ended in that fashion.

Pavlovich on the other hand is 15-1 overall right now and has proven to be a legitimate threat in the division. 12 of his wins are via knockout – including three straight. That means we should get some fireworks here. Don’t bet on this fight getting to the judges’ scorecards.

Pick: Fight Will Not Go The Distance
