The UEFA Europa League Quarter-Finals first legs are set for April 5th, 2018, and before the kick-off, you can still place some bets on a potential winner, so we have prepared an updated markets along with our betting tips and predictions about who can win the trophy and a Champions League ticket for the next season. Likewise, you can check out the latest markets for the first leg games.

Atletico Madrid +137

Arsenal +300

Lazio +750

RB Leipzig +900

Marseille +1000

FC Salzburg +1600

Sporting +2500

CSKA Moscow +3300

Atleti are the biggest favorites for reason, as they arguably possess the strongest team in the competition, while they are playing in a brilliant form in the last couple of months, winning ten out of their previous 12 games in all competitions. The manager Diego Simeone is well-known for his tactical knowledge, and he is a great motivator who knows how to prepare the team for a knockout system. In the previous round, Atletico Madrid has easily beaten Lokomotiv Moscow 8-1 on aggregate, hammering their opponents 5-1 in the second leg in Moscow. Their next rival is the Portuguese side Sporting, and Atleti are -334 favorites in the first leg at home.

ARSENAL (+300)

The Gunners have shown their strength in the previous round of the Europa League beating AC Milan in both legs, 3-1 at home and 2-0 on the road, and showing some excellent attacking moves that promise even better performance against CSKA Moscow in the Quarter-Finals. Arsene Wenger’s team is having a terrible season so far, sitting at the sixth spot of the English Premier League, so their only chance to play in the Champions League next year is to win the Europa League this season, and that is a strong reason why you should take the Gunners into consideration.

LAZIO (+750)

The Eagles meet the Austrian Champions Salzburg in the Quarter-Finals and they are strong -150 favorites to win the first leg in front of the home fans. In the previous round, they have beaten Dynamo Kiev 4-2 on aggregate after a 2-2 draw in the first game at home, while in the second leg in Kiev, the Eagles have dominated throughout the match, deservedly earning a 2-0 victory in the end. Lazio is still fighting for the Champions League spot in their domestic league, so it is going to be pretty difficult to battle on two fronts, despite the fact the Eagles have a quite balanced squad.

The Red Bulls from Leipzig made a huge upset in the Europa League Round of 32 beating Napoli on away goals, while in the previous round they managed to overcome Zenit Saint Petersburg 3-2 on aggregate after a 2-1 victory on the home soil. Their matchup with Marseille will be a derby of the Europa League Quarter-Finals, and from this points of view, it is hard to say who’s closer to the Semi-Finals. On the other hand, RB Leipzig is in the sixth spot of the German Bundesliga table at the moment, and they are still in the competition for the Champions League spot, so I would avoid betting on them, as their short bench could be a trouble.

The Olympians put on a great display in the previous round of the Europa League, outplaying Athletic Bilbao in both legs, and winning 3-1 at home, and 2-1 at San Mames. In the first leg on the home soil, their attacking was brilliant through the possession of the ball, while in the second game in Spain their counter-attacking was lethal, showing they are certainly a serious contender this year. Similar to their next opponent, the Olympians are still searching for the Champions League spot in their domestic championship, so the first leg in Germany will tell us a lot about their aspirations. However, the market on Marseille is a tempting one, and I believe they can beat RB Leipzig in the next round, and go all the way.

The Red Bulls from Salzburg are undefeated for 34 games in a row in all competitions, they are sitting at the top of the Austrian Bundesliga, and they’ve beaten Dortmund 2-1 on aggregate in the previous round of the Europa League despite they were massive underdogs in this matchup. They are a hard-working team who prefers a high pressure and a direct passing game, so if you like to bet against the odds, Salzburg is a nice choice, although I don’t believe they can win the trophy, they sure can beat Lazio in the Quarter-Finals.

SPORTING (+2500)

The Lions are a good team, no doubt, at least as good as RB Leipzig or Marseille, but they will meet Atletico Madrid in the next round, so that is the reason why you get +2500 on them to win it outright. Sporting’s manager Jorge Jesus is an experienced tactician who has lost two Europa League Finals in the past with Benfica, and it will be interesting to see how he’ll prepare his team for the clash against Atleti, while I don’t believe the Lions are capable of making an upset here.

The Horses made a big surprise in the Europa League Round of 16 beating Lyon on away goals after a magnificent 3-2 victory in the second leg on the road, despite they were a big out-of-towner, but you should know that this CSKA Moscow team has a lot of experience, and they are playing together for a long time which is crucial when it comes to decisive matches. CSKA Moscow will have a mountain to climb against the Gunners, particularly in the first leg in London where they will be +850 underdogs to get a win. However, if you consider Arsenal’s form this season, a market at +3300 on the Horses to win the Europa League is looking underestimating.
