If you’ve been craving another edition of The Bettor’s Box, you’re in luck. Host Adam Burke was back on the airwaves today with the best baseball betting podcast in the business. He had a lot of things to discuss and listeners are going to walk away armed with a lot more ammunition to go out there and bang the books this week and beyond.
We’re still looking for some listeners and readers that are interested in some possible writing opportunities for us, so you can submit a sample or at least an email about your interest to email@example.com. We’ve got a lot of great things happening at the site right now, so check out everything that we have to offer across numerous sports markets and with contests, free pick videos, and sportsbook reviews.
Unfortunately, your favorite host didn’t have a rant prepared for today’s show, but he still had a plethora of betting nuggets and wagering angles to share with you. Adam started with a look Beyond the Box Score at the continued struggles of the Diamondbacks in their sweep against the Brewers and also recapped Royals vs. Cardinals and also Braves vs. Phillies.
It’s Thursday which means another exit velocity update, as Adam dug really deep into the Statcast numbers to talk about high-velocity contact and focus on the Blue Jays and their high-velocity troubles. He also talked about teams that hit fastballs well versus those that don’t and teams that hit offspeed stuff well versus those that don’t. That will help with some matchup-specific handicapping.
The Down the Lines segment featured a recap of some of the most noteworthy line moves of the last few days and Adam also included his official show pick for today on a derivative bet that lines up very nicely.
There are a lot of good series coming up this weekend and Adam hit on five of them, with Astros/Indians, Angels/Yankees, Braves/Red Sox, Blue Jays/Phillies, and Giants/Cubs, with a couple of excellent situational plays coming up on Monday.
Another Monday Mailbag comes your way on the 28th, so send those questions over and join us for another edition of The Bettor’s Box.
You can email Adam to get added to the contact list for show notes, firstname.lastname@example.org and you can also send your questions for the Monday Mailbag at that time. Also hit him up on Twitter, @SkatingTripods. Tune in again this Monday for another edition of The Bettor’s Box.
