Another divisional rivalry game will be played in Week 4 of the new NFL season on Sunday, October 2, and here you can check out the best Titans vs. Colts betting pick and odds.

Both Tennessee and Indianapolis recorded their first wins of the season last week and now will be hoping to improve to .500 when they face at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Colts are -3.5 favorites on BookMaker Sportsbook, while the total is set at 43 points. These AFC South foes have met twice in 2021, and the Titans won both games.

Titans secured a tight win over the Raiders at home

The Tennessee Titans displayed poor performance in a massive loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 2 but responded with a narrow 24-22 home victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. Although they didn’t get on the scoreboard in the second half, the Titans still managed to secure a W after creating a 14-point lead at halftime.

Ryan Tannehill completed 19 of 27 passes for 264 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Tannehill also added a rushing touchdown, while Derrick Henry led all the runners with 85 yards and a TD on 20 carries. Henry collected 140+ scrimmage yards as he was active on pass offense as well. Robert Woods chipped in with 85 yards on four receptions. Roger McCreary led all defenders with ten total tackles.

TE Austin Hooper (neck), LB Zach Cunningham (elbow), S Amani Hooker (concussion), and LB Bud Dupree (hip) are questionable to play on Sunday against the Colts.

Colts surprised the Chiefs at home

The Indianapolis Colts played their first home game of the new NFL season and upset the Kansas City Chiefs with a 20-17 win, which is also their first win of the campaign. Indianapolis’ defense didn’t let Patrick Mahomes and potent Kansas City’s offense spread the wings and forced two turnovers while making only one on the other end.

Matt Ryan reminisced of his Atlanta days as he completed 27 of 37 passes for 222 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Jelani Woods (two receptions) was on the receiving end of both TD passes, while Michael Pittman Jr. and Alec Pierce combined for 133 yards on 11 catches (14 targets). Jonathan Taylor led all the runners with 71 yards on 20 carries. Defensively, Zaire Franklin was rock-solid with 12 total tackles.

S Julian Blackmon is managing an ankle sprain, and it is up in the air if he will face the Titans on Sunday.

Trends:

Tennessee:

  • 1-4 ATS in the last five games overall
  • 0-4 ATS in the last four road games

Indianapolis:

  • 5-0 ATS in the last five games after accumulating less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game
  • 4-1 ATS in the last five games played in October

Tennessee Titans vs. Indianapolis Colts Pick

I am backing a better defense to prevail in this one, and at the moment, the Colts’ D has been better. Tennessee is allowing 28.0 ppg, which is the third-worst defense in the NFL, while they are scoring only 17.0 ppg on the other end. Although Indianapolis has the least efficient offense n the league in terms of points per game with 13.3, with proper time management and tactics, the Colts have a decent chance to beat the divisional foes on Sunday. Indianapolis’ opportunity will be on the ground as the Titans surrender 145.0 ypg to the opposing runners.

Pick: Take the Colts at -3.5 (-110)

The Total

In correlation with the previous statement, I am backing defenses to play a vital role on Sunday. The Titans’ D is not great, but they do face the Colts’ inefficient offense and it’s hard to expect the hosts to score 30+ points here. We will see a lot of running and time-eating drives, so a low-scoring affair is an outcome that’s quite possible. Under is 8-0 in the Colts’ last eight games overall; Under is 7-0 in Indianapolis’ previous seven vs. AFC rivals, while Under is 10-1 in the Colts’ last 11 vs. AFC South opponents.

Pick: Go Under 43.5 points (-120)
