Seattle and Baltimore lock horns Wednesday night in the middle contest of their three-game American League series at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore, so here’s the best Mariners vs. Orioles betting pick.

Tuesday night’s opener has been excluded from the analysis, while the Mariners are listed as -149 road favorites for Wednesday’s clash. The Orioles are +138 moneyline dogs, and the totals sit at 8.5 runs on MyBookie Sportsbook

The Mariners just failed to sweep the Astros

The Seattle Mariners are having a disappointing season, no doubt. They got off to a solid start, but things have changed since the last few days in April. The M’s carried a 20-28 record into Tuesday’s opening game of the Orioles series, sitting at the fourth spot in the AL West.

Last Sunday, the Mariners blew a nice opportunity to sweep a three-game home series against the AL West-leading Houston Astros. They suffered a tough 2-1 defeat after outscoring the Stars 12-1 through the first two contests.

Robbie Ray will take the mound Wednesday at Camden Yards, hoping to turn his disappointing campaign around. The reigning AL Cy Young Award winner is 4-5 with a lackluster 4.75 ERA and 1.20 WHIP in ten starts (60.2 innings) in 2022.

The Orioles blanked the red-hot Red Sox last Monday

The Baltimore Orioles improved to 21-29 on the season following a 10-0 thrashing of the in-form Boston Red Sox this past Monday. They clinched a five-game road series at Fenway Park in Boston, while Ryan Mountcastle and Trey Mancini combined for seven hits in nine at-bats in Monday’s closer.

The Orioles are still the worst team in the AL East. They score 3.80 runs per game (26th in the majors) on a .232/.300/.361 slash line (.239/.310/.386 league average). On the pitching side of things, the Orioles hold a 4.02 ERA (19th) and a 1.31 WHIP (23rd).

Kyle Bradish will toe the slab Wednesday, hoping to right the ship after some terrible displays this season. The 25-year-old right-hander is 1-3 with an awful 7.31 ERA and 1.52 WHIP in six starts (28.1 innings) in 2022.

Trends:

Seattle:

  • 13-7 in the last 20 games against Baltimore

Baltimore:

  • 3-8 in the last 11 home games against Seattle

Seattle Mariners vs. Baltimore Orioles Pick

I’m looking for Robbie Ray to finally prove his worth, so give me the Mariners at the moneyline odds. As a reigning Cy Young champ, Ray has allowed three or more earned runs in five of his previous six outings. That’s disgusting.

On the other side, the Orioles are slashing only .221/.292/.341 against the left-handed pitchers in 2022 and could easily struggle against Ray. Kyle Bradish has surrendered four or more earned runs in four of his five starts in May, so the Mariners have a great chance to grab a win in this matchup.

Pick: Take Seattle Mariners at -149

The Total:

The visitors to win remain my best Mariners vs. Orioles betting pick for Wednesday night. I don’t trust Kyle Bradish, who gave up 11 earned runs over his last two starts and seven frames of work. If Robbie Ray continues to struggle, we’ll get a high-scoring affair. But Ray’s eventual strong performance could easily shut down the O’s.

Over the last ten days, the Orioles’ bullpen has posted a strong 2.85 ERA and 3.39 FIP, while the Mariners’ bullpen has recorded a serviceable 3.91 ERA and 3.88 FIP. I lean the under, as both bullpens look ready for the challenge.

Pick: Go under 8.5 runs at +100
