The Dallas Cowboys are often the most talked about team in the NFL, and this season there was a ton of interest surrounding them once again for quite a few reasons. After the NFL Draft finally came around, and the Cowboys passed on Johnny Manziel at number 16, they showed that they were fully committed to Tony Romo. Now, Romo, who is coming off of his second back surgery in two years, will need to lead an offense that has quite a few playmakers. The offensive talent is there, but the issue for the Cowboys has consistently been the defensive side of things, and now they have a whole other issue.
The new issue for the Cowboys is that they’ve now lost linebacker Sean Lee for the entire year with a torn ACL, which is a total blow to the defense. He was the heart and sole of the defense, but has had some issues staying healthy throughout the length of his career. The defense also lost by Jason Hatcher and DeMarcus Ware, both of which were huge parts of their success over the previous years, but they are looking towards young talent to attempt to fill the holes and the voids that’ll be left from these players being gone.
