CB Darrelle Revis agrees to one-year deal with Patriots
By John Breech | CBSSports.com

Darrelle Revis wasn't a free agent for long. Just hours after being released by the Tampa Buccaneers on Wednesday, Revis already has a new team. The veteran cornerback has agreed to a one-year deal with the Patriots, CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora has confirmed.

Revis' one-year deal with New England will pay him $12 million, according to ESPN.com.

Tampa Bay spent the week looking for a team that would take Revis in a trade, but when the Buccaneers unable to find any takers, they were forced to cut him on Wednesday. If Revis had still been on the roster after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, the Buccaneers would have owed him a $1.5 million roster bonus. The Bucs would have also owed the Jets a 2014 third-round pick as part of the deal that sent Revis from New York to Tampa Bay in April 2013.
