It’s been another interesting offseason in the NBA, as players have been switching teams throughout the last few months. Just like any other offseason, there have been some big names that have switched teams as well, and that’s going to create some intrigue heading into 2023-24.

The Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics made some of the biggest moves this year as they are hoping to find the missing piece to a championship puzzle. Jordan Poole is out in Golden State, and Chris Paul has been brought in to try and help them get back on top.

Boston traded away Marcus Smart in hopes of finding more offense, and they were able to bring in Kristaps Porzingis. All three of these players are expected to have an impact next season, but the real question is just how much impact will be had.

Here is a bet to make on all three of these players when looking at the betting options.

How Much Will Paul Play?

Chris Paul has been a starter for his entire NBA career, but rumors have already been floating around about the possibility of him being a reserve player this season. Paul has not taken too kindly to those rumors, as he wants to be with the first until that includes Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

The early lines for total points per game for Chris Paul make it seem as if he is going to have a big impact this season, but that’s still unclear. The over/under for Paul is currently set at 11.5 points per game at BetOnline, and that’s a pretty big total.

Even if Paul were to get with the first unit, his best skill is his ability to pass the ball and find open teammates. Paul is nearing the end of his career, and the best bet to make is taking him at under 11.5 points per game at +130.

Poole Should Excel

Jordan Poole had an interesting career with the Golden State Warriors, but it appeared that he wore out his welcome eventually. Poole had some massive shots for the Warriors during his career, but he really struggled in the 2023 postseason.

The one thing that is clear about Poole is that he has the ability to score points with the best of them, and that’s exactly what the Washington Wizards are hoping to get. Washington should be a team that is on the cusp of making the postseason in 2023-24, and Poole is going to need to be at his best.

Poole has never been the top-scoring option on a team, but he is going to be that player with the Wizards this season. The over/under is set at 25.5 points per game for Poole, and it will be fun to watch him go for that number.

Take the over 25.5 total points in this game at the odds at -115.

Will Porzingis Get Shots?

The Boston Celtics now have a “big three” of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kristaps Porzingis, but it’s going to be hard to share the basketball. Porzingis has proven that he can be the number 1 option on any team, but he won’t need to be in Boston.

The over/under for total points per game on Porzingis is currently set at 20.5, and that number just seems way too high. That is why the under option is the clear favorite, but this is still a bet that you should make.

Take the under 20.5 points per game for Porzingis, as he isn’t going to do a ton of scoring with the Celtics.
