This conference duel will start the NCAAB action on Monday, February 27, and here you can take a look at the best Tar Heels vs. Seminoles betting pick and odds.

North Carolina is looking for the third win in a row when they visit Florida State at Donald L. Tucker Center. The Tar Heels are -8.5 favorites on Bovada Sportsbook, while the total is set at 152 points. These ACC rivals will meet for the second time this year; the Tar Heels won 94-74 at home.

Tar Heels beat Virginia at home

The North Carolina Tar Heels (18-11, 9-19-1 ATS) did lose five of six games to open this month but responded with a pair of victories over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on the road and Virginia Cavaliers at home. The Tar Heels created a 16-point lead in the first half and although the Cavs played better in the second 20 minutes, the hosts deservedly secured a 71-63 win. North Carolina committed 12 turnovers and forced only four on the other end, but hit more triples (10-4) and free throws (17-5) than Virginia, which made a difference in this one.

Senior forward Pete Nance led the Tar Heels with a game-high 22 points. R.J. Davis posted a double-double of 16 points and team-high ten rebounds along with a team-high four assists, Armando Bacot had 11 points and six boards, while Caleb Love scored ten points with eight rebounds.

Seminoles snapped a losing skid

The Florida State Seminoles (9-20, 12-17-0 ATS) were in bad form with seven losses in eight games and lost four consecutive before defeating the Miami Hurricanes to snap a negative run. The Seminoles were down by 25 early in the second half but fought bravely and snatched an 85-84 road victory in the end. Jordan Miller made a three-pointer to give an 84-82 lead to the Canes with just five seconds remaining, but Matthew Cleveland answered on the other end and hit a triple to win it for the Seminoles. FSU was excellent from the floor (52.4%).

Junior guard Darin Green Jr. led the Seminoles with 20 points, five rebounds, and game-high four steals. Matthew Cleveland also had 20 points and five boards, Caleb Mills added 13 points and game-high five assists, while Jalen Warley finished with 11 points, game-high seven rebounds, five dishes, and three thefts.

North Carolina Tar Heels vs. Florida State Seminoles Pick

The Tar Heels are a better team and they proved it in the most recent H2H when they won by 20 points, and even though I believe the visitors will get a W here, I am backing the Seminoles to cover. Florida State lost six straight at home, and given this is their final home game of the season, the Seminoles will be motivated to give their fans a strong outing. After all, FSU won each of the previous four H2Hs at Donald L. Tucker Center. I am backing the hosts to at least lose by single digits, which will be enough to cover.

Pick: Take the Seminoles at +10.5 (-133)

The Total

Florida State has a weak defense that allows 76.5 points per game, but North Carolina’s D is also quite leaky as the Tar Heels allow 71.8 points per contest. North Carolina does have a strong offense that scores 77.1 ppg opposite the Seminoles’ 70.1 ppg. The rivals produced 168 points in the last H2H, and I expect to see at least 155 in this one. The total has gone Over in seven of Florida State’s last eight games, while the total went Over in four of the Seminoles’ previous five games against the ACC rivals.

Pick: Go Over 150.5 points (-130)
