No. 21 Cincinnati vs. No. 16 Memphis Betting Odds 12/7/2019

Memphis is favored by 10 points in this AAC matchup. The Bearcats are currently receiving +300 moneyline odds while the Tigers are -400. The over/under has been set at 57.5 points, and it looks like there should be some solid in-game betting possibilities in this showdown.

The game’s opening line was originally set at -9 and the O/U was initially 58.5, so it seems that the sharp action has been siding with both the Tigers and the under.

The Bearcats are 10-2 straight up (SU), including 7-1 SU against AAC opponents. The Tigers are 11-1 SU overall and are also 7-1 SU in conference play. Each team has rewarded gamblers this year as the Bearcats have gained 6.5 units while the Tigers are up 7.2 units.

The Bearcats fell to Memphis 34-24 in a contest where their defense allowed the Tigers to eat up the clock by running for 199 yards on 38 rush attempts, along with one rushing TD. The Bearcats have produced 196 rush yards per game (including 200 per game against American Athletic Conference opponents) and have 23 touchdowns on the ground this year. The Tigers are putting up 196 rush yards per contest (174 in conference) and have 27 total rushing TDs.

It seems like the Tigers ought to have the more disruptive lines up front. Their offensive line has given up only 19 sacks while the D-line has registered 31 sacks. The Bearcats offensive line has allowed 31 sacks and their defense has got to opposing signal-callerss just 27 times.

The Bearcats have averaged 184 yards through the air overall (164 per game against conference opposition) and have 18 passing TDs so far. The Tigers have produced 287 pass yards per outing (301.0 in the AAC) and have 32 total pass scores.

Defensively, Cincinnati has let opponents run for an average of 139 yards and pass for 232 yards per game. Memphis has allowed 167.5 yards per game on the ground and 198 to opposing teams in the air. Both teams allow similar adjusted net yards per pass attempt (ANY/A) to the opposition, as the Bearcats have given up an ANY/A of 5.35 to opposing QBs, while the Tigers are allowing an ANY/A of 5.31.

White has been more productive than Bryant recently. His adjusted net yards per pass attempt sits at 10.37 for the year and 6.93 across his last two games while Bryant’s ANY/A is 5.10 and 3.46 over the past two outings.
