- New York Islanders (+160) vs. Toronto Maple Leafs (-180)
The New York Islanders are 12-13-2 on the road this season and are 5-4-1 in their last 10 games. Toronto is 13-8-2 at home this season and they are 5-2-3 in their last 10 games. New York is 4-1 in their last five road games, but are playing in back-to-back nights which is a situation where they have lost their last four games. Toronto has lost each of their last four home games and is 1-4 in their last five games against teams from the Eastern Conference.
The Islanders have gone over in eight of their last 11 road games against teams with a winning home record. They have gone over in 16 of their last 24 games against a team with a winning record and have gone over and 34 of their last 52 games overall. Toronto has gone under in five of their last seven home games and has gone under in eight of their last 11 overall.
In the last nine meetings between these two teams in Toronto, the total has gone over in each of those contests. The total has gone over in 37 of the last 56 meetings between these two teams. The home team is one the last four games.
There are a lot of trends to dig into in this contest, but we like the Toronto is playing well on the road of light despite the fact the home team is one the last four meetings. Take the Islanders, 4-3
- Philadelphia Flyers vs. Washington Capitals
Philadelphia is 11-8-4 on the road this season and they are 8-2-0 in their last 10 games. Washington is 18-7-1 at home and they have gone 6-2-2 in their last 10. The Flyers have won seven of their last eight games against teams with a winning record and have gone 4-1 in their last five games on the road. They are 8-2 in their last 10 games overall. The Capitals have won 41 of their last 56 games at home.
Philadelphia has gone under in four of their last five games and has gone under in four of their last five games against teams from the Eastern Conference. Washington has gone under in each of their last four home games and they have gone under in six of their last seven games against teams with a losing record.
Philadelphia has won only two of the last seven meetings in Washington. The total has gone under in four of the last seven meetings in Washington and under in five of the last nine meetings overall.
Both of these teams enter this contest red hot, but Washington has been really tough at home. Look for the Capitals to win a low-scoring affair, 3-1.
- San Jose Sharks (-105) vs. Detroit Red Wings (-115)
San Jose is 12-8-4 on the road this season and they have gone 5-3-2 in their last 10. Detroit is 10-10-7 at home and they are 4-5-1 in their last 10 games. The Sharks have won 36 of their last 53 games against teams with a losing record. Detroit is just 2-6 in their last eight against teams from the Western Conference and they have lost each of their last five home games.
San Jose has gone over in four of their last five games, as well as going over in four of their last five against teams with a losing record. The Red Wings have gone over in eight of their last 10 against teams from the Western Conference, and have gone over in nine of their last 15 against teams from the Pacific Division.
San Jose has won four of the last five meetings in Detroit, and they have won seven of the last 10 meetings overall. The total has gone under in three of the last six meetings in Detroit and seven of the last 13 meetings overall.
The over/under shows no real trend, but San Jose has been dominating Detroit of late, plus the Red Wings are playing terribly right now. Take the Sharks to win 4-2.
