NFL Week 15 Odds Report
- Updated: December 13, 2011
The NFL is heading into the stretch run and it is very important to look at the opening odds report as that is the best time to find value on a football bet. Looking at the first release of the odds will allow the sports bettor to find the softest number and take advantage of middle opportunities.
Here is a first look at some of the opening odds on the biggest games of the week in the NFL.
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Atlanta Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons the Jacksonville Jaguars play on this week’s edition of Thursday night football. The Jaguars are off a big win against the Buccaneers but it is not enough to keep this line under double digits. The Falcons opened as 10.5 point favorites and the line has been pushed up to 11 points in several locations. As expected, the early betting money is on the Falcons in this prime time game.
Despite yet another last minute victory by Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos, the early betting odds show that the public are taking Tom Brady. The Patriots opened as 4.5 point favorites over the Broncos and that number has been bet up to six points in many offshore locations. The early betting odds are moving in favor of the Patriots, but that could be subject to change as the week goes along.
New York Jets vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles may have turned the corner with a big win over the Miami Dolphins. To test this theory, they will host the New York jets this week in the NFL. The line opened with the Eagles -2 and that line has moved to -3, although the early betting money is on the Jets.
This is a quick look at some of the biggest games this week in the NFL. Make sure to check the opening odds on the entire schedule in the NFL this week to get the edge when betting on football.
