NFL Week 13 Betting Trends
- Updated: November 27, 2013
Thanksgiving Day is almost here, and that means turkey and the NFL! Three games kick off the week on Thursday, so make your preparation is done early this week. We’re already to week 13, so the NFL is really getting down to the nitty gritty. This is the time of the year where teams who are in the playoff race can ill-afford a misstep.
BangtheBook has offered a trends to consider article during the baseball season, and now we’ll be having an NFL trends to consider article during the football season as well. This will give bettors a good look at some of the most important trends to consider before placing a bet this week. Let’s look at trends to consider for games this coming weekend.
-The Packers will face the Lions in a traditional Thanksgiving Day matchup. Aaron Rodgers will still be out here, and the Packers are just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games. They are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games (Rodgers has been hurt for those games). The Lions are just 9-20 ATS in their last 29 games against the NFC.
-The Raiders and Cowboys meet in the second Thanksgiving Day game. The Raiders are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 following a straight up loss. Oakland is 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 road games. Dallas is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 against a team with a losing record. They are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games though.
-The finale on Thanksgiving day pits the Steelers against the Ravens. These two always combine to provide a hard hitting game. Baltimore is 7-1 AST in their last 8 home games. Pittsburgh is 7-3-2 ATS in their last 12 games against the Ravens. The under is a perfect 7-0 in the Ravens last 7 home games.
-Tampa Bay is quietly 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games. They have won their last three straight up. Carolina has been the hottest team in football of late. The Panthers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games. The favorite is 10-2 ATS in the last 12 meetings between these two.
-St. Louis is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games. The Rams are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games against a team with a winning road record. The 49ers are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Rams are 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings between these teams.
-Cincinnati is 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 road games. The Chargers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 against a team with a winning record. The over is 7-1-2 in the last 10 meetings between these two teams. This is a big game for both teams.
-The Broncos and Chiefs meet for the second time in three weeks this Sunday. Both teams lost last weekend, which makes this game a little more important for both in many ways. The Broncos are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 following a loss. The Chiefs are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 against a team with a winning record. The under is 5-0-1 in the last 6 game between these teams.
-The best game of the week is probably Monday Night. The Saints travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks and their great home crowd. New Orleans is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 following a bye week. Seattle is 35-16-1 ATS in their last 52 home games. Seattle is 10-2 ATS in their last 12 against a team with a winning record.
