NFL Upset Of The Week – NFL Pick Week 5

Tennessee Titans Will Upset the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5

Every week in the NFL there is an upset. The league is so talented that on any given Sunday a team can beat the odds and take down a team that is supposed to be better than them. In fact, every week it seems like an upset is bound to happen.

In previous week’s big underdogs have come through with big upsets. The Cardinals beat the Patriots as double-digit underdogs and the Kansas City Chiefs beat up the New Orleans Saints as nine point underdogs. This week that upset will be the Tennessee Titans over the Minnesota Vikings.

The Titans come into this game with a major injury as Jake Locker separated his shoulder for the second time this season in week two against the Houston Texans. Locker is expected to miss at least two weeks and that will mean that veteran quarterback Matt Hassleback will be under center for the Titans.

Hassleback has proven success on the field and chemistry with tight end Jared Cook. The running game is back for the Titans as Chris Johnson as he put up 141 yards against the Texans who have one of the tougher defenses in the league.

The Vikings are off a very big win against the Detroit Lions. The win moved the Vikings to 3-1 on the season and gave them a crucial divisional win. Playing a game against the out of conference Titans will be hard to get up for. Adrian Peterson looks like he is 100 percent but will face a tough Titans defense that held Arian Foster under 100 yards.

The Titans may have three losses on the season but those losses came to San Diego, New England and Houston. Those are very tough teams to play and the experience in those games will pay off in an underdog win against the Minnesota Vikings.
