NFL Trends: Top Betting Trends For Week 9
- Updated: November 3, 2012
Week 9 in the NFL is about to kickoff and scouring the schedule for a winner would not be complete without looking at the NFL trends. Using trends to find winners is very important, but you have to locate the ones that matter. So here is a look at some of the top betting trends for Week 9.
In one of the biggest games of the week the Pittsburgh Steelers will play against the New York Giants. The Steelers, according to the NFL trends are in a bad spot. The Steelers are 5-17 ATS in their last 22 games following a win of more than 14 point and just 1-7 against the spread in the last eight games.
These trends indicate another win for the Eli Manning and the New York Giants.
Peyton Manning is on pace for his fifth MVP and he has the Broncos riding high into a game with the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals are off a bye week and teams do well off a bye week, but more importantly the Broncos are 9-24-1 ATS in their last 34 games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous game. The Broncos will be hard pressed to put up another effort like they did against the New Orleans Saints in Week 8.
The Sunday Night Football game features the Dallas Cowboys vs the Atlanta Falcons. Despite the opponent, the Cowboys are a terror for bettors as they are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games overall.
Finally on Monday Night Football the Philadelphia Eagles and the New Orleans Saints will do battle in the Big Easy. The trends point to a high scoring game. The Over is 10-1 in Saints last 11 against the NFC and the over is 5-0 in the last five meetings.
The trends don’t always point to a winner, but they should always be used when handicapping football games.
