When handicapping the NFL, injuries are something that cannot be overlooked. Football is such a physical sport it is eventually going to happen, big names and stars are going to get hurt and it will affect their team. The same thing happened in week 6 as several key players suffered big injuries.

Let’s start in Baltimore. The Ravens played a very physical game against the Dallas Cowboys and barely survived with a victory. The celebration will be short lived as the Ravens suffered a blow to their defensive unit.

The report out of Baltimore was not good for Ravens fans. The team fears torn triceps for linebacker Ray Lewis and torn ACL for cornerback Lardarius Webb, according to sources. Both injuries are difficult for the Ravens and they will have a hard time replacing both players. It only gets worse for the Ravens as the play the Texans, one of the top running teams in the NFL.

The Cowboys also felt the injury bug as this report came across during the game. Cowboys start the second half without DeMarco Murray who is reported to have a foot injury. Felix Jones stepped up in his absence but Murray is the key back out of the backfield for the Cowboys. His status will be in question as the Cowboys head into week seven against the Carolina Panthers.

Finally the New England Patriots suffered two noticeable injuries in the game against the Seattle Seahawks. The Patriots lost Safety Patrick Chung with a shoulder injury and it may be why the Pats gave up the long pass to lose the game. The Patriots also lost running back Brandon Bolden who left the game with a knee injury. These players will be vital in the upcoming game against the New York Jets.

Keep an eye on the injury report all week long to get the up to the minute reports to help make some money betting on football.
