Game three of an Eastern Conference Second Round series is set for Saturday afternoon when the New York Knicks visit the Miami Heat. The first two games of this series were as tough as expected and this could be a long battle for both teams. Below is my NBA pick for the New York Knicks vs Miami Heat.

New York Knicks vs Miami Heat Betting Pick

The Pick: Miami Heat -3.5

This game will be played at Kaseya Center at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

Why Bet the Miami Heat:

✅ Miami has covered the spread in each of their last five games played.

✅ At home, the Heat have covered the spread in five of their last six games.

✅ New York has lost seven of their last nine games in Miami.

New York Knicks Looking to Get Home Court Back

New York probably felt that should have won game one, but they were able to take care of business in a tight game two and evened the series up. The Knicks can take home court back with just one win in Miami.

In the game two win, it was close throughout with the Knicks leading by two after one quarter and the Heat taking a three-point advantage into the half. The Knicks were able to trim the lead to one heading into the final quarter and were able to finish the game off with a six-point win. The Heat were leading 96-93 with under five minutes to go, but the Knicks went on a big run to put the game away.

Jalen Brunson went off with 30 points, but the real star of the game was Josh Hart who contributed 14 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. Julius Randle added 25 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists in the win.

The Miami Heat Need to Get Healthy

Miami will feel good about their two games in New York as they grabbed home court advantage with the game one win and kept it close in game two without Jimmy Butler. The Heat should get Butler back in game three and whenever he is playing in the playoffs his team has a chance to win.

Caleb Martin had a career high in game two as he had 22 points and eight rebounds. Gabe Vincent added 21 points and five assists in the game two loss.
