NBA Betting Preview
New Jersey Nets (6-6) at Los Angeles Lakers (11-1)
Tuesday, 10:35 pm Eastern
SBG Global Opening Line: Lakers – 13.5 , Total 209
The Los Angeles Lakers have the best record in the NBA at 11-1 but they were not happy with their latest effort, a 118-108 win over Sacramento on Sunday. They committed 18 turnovers and allowed the Kings to shoot 53.4 percent from the field. “I thought we were poor, defensively,” Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. He was not alone in that assessment as Kobe Bryant shared that sentiment. “I’m not happy with this win. We could have played much more solid defensively,” Kobe said, “They did a good job getting out in transition. So from that aspect, we might have been a little worn down.”
SBG Global reports that early NBA betting has the public taking Lakers at Home.
The Lakers defense will be tested on Tuesday by a New Jersey offense that is averaging 111.4 points per game in their last five outings. That could mean a lot of points on Tuesday night considering the Lakers are averaging 110.8 points per game in their last four games. Kobe sure likes playing at home against New Jersey as he has averaged 32 points per game the last three times.
The Nets have been led in scoring this season by Vince Carter but he is also getting support from Yi Jianlian who scored a season-high 27 points in the Nets last game against the Clippers.
