NCAAB – TRENDS OF THE DAY
The busiest day of the week when it comes to the number of matchups on the schedule besides Saturday is here, and as usual, we’ve prepared for you some pointers in order to save you some time. There are 70+ duels on the menu today and we’ve picked exactly eight, by our opinion, easiest money takers. Still, if you want to check out every single Thursday’s showdown, you can do it here. Very exciting and heart-racing day is in front of us so let’s take a closer look.
Here are a couple of most interesting duels today including one H2H matchup between top-25 ranked teams: Pittsburgh (8-16) at Clemson (19-4), Tulane (13-9) at Tulsa (13-10), Old Dominion (17-5) at Southern Miss (12-12), Duke (8) at North Carolina (17-7), Stanford (13-11) at Utah (13-9), SMU (15-8) at Houston (17-5), UCLA (16-7) at Arizona (19-5) and Washington (17-6) at Oregon (15-8).
- The Bruins are 6-0 in their last six games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.
Exactly as we suspected, the ATS line in the showdown between UCLA Bruins and Arizona Wildcats is set too high, at 9.0 favoring the Wildcats. Arizona team is a bit shaken up, and the fact that they are 0-5-1 ATS in their last six home games only strengthens the Bruins’ case for an ATS win.
- The Cardinal is 9-1 in their last 10 games overall.
The Stanford Cardinal team is on the big streak when it comes to ATS wins at the moment and it’s time for us to use it, especially when they’re visiting the Utes, who are 0-4-2 ATS in their last six games following a straight up loss.
- The Green Wave is 4-10 in their last 14 games overall.
The Tulane Green Wave are very poor road team when it comes to ATS segment and today they are heading to Tulsa in order to take on the Golden Hurricane that is 5-1 ATS in last six home games, making this a mismatch. Choose Tulsa’s ATS win.
- The Panthers are 5-1 in last six games following a straight up loss.
The ATS line in the matchup between Clemson Tigers and Pittsburgh Panthers favors the Tigers at 18.5 points. Putting the fact that Clemson team presents a formidable force this year aside, the line is set too high and it should go the guests’ way.
- Under is 18-4 in Huskies last 22 road games.
We can name the matchup between Washington Huskies and Oregon Ducks the low-scoring game of the week without a doubt, as these two Pacific-12 foes share a number of low-scoring trends. Besides aforementioned tendency, the Huskies are also 22-4 in Under in last 26 conference games while the Ducks stand at 7-3 in Under in last 10 overall duels.
- Over is 10-4 in Cougars last 14 games following an ATS win.
The matchup between the SMU Mustangs and Houston Cougars should be very interesting and narrow when it comes to the final result but the real opportunity here lays in the Totals segment. Both teams like to score in bunches lately and that’s exactly where we’re going to put our money. The Mustangs are 5-1 in Over in last six road games while the Cougars also like to score plenty on Thursdays, as they are 10-4 in Over in last 14 games.
- Over is 20-8 in Blue Devils last 28 overall.
As usual, in the matchups between ranked opponents, our main interest is the Totals segment and this time, we’ll go for Over as both Blue Devils and the Tar Heels like to score big numbers according to trends. Duke is also 17-5 in Over in last 22 road games while North Carolina stands at 17-5 in Over in last 22 home games.
- Over is 12-2 in Golden Eagles last 14 home games.
Another game with a strong high-scoring potential will take place at Reed Green Coliseum in Hattiesburg between Southern Miss Golden Eagles and Old Dominion Monarchs, who are 16-5 in Over in last 21 road games. Go Over!!!
