The worst type of games last night, where the lines moved against us late, so those who tailed early won and those who followed late lost. Absolutely hate winning when some who followed lost, which is one reason I’ll wait until later in the day to release plays, but have had games where the opposite occurred, so we’ll take our 47-36 record into tonight.
Atlanta at Orlando: The Hawks are favored by 1.5 and the total has dropped slightly to 212.5, as Vucevic is out for the Magic, so this is one game I’ll be staying away from due to the injury situation. The Magic are on a 6-15-1 run in home games.
New York at Toronto: The Raptors are favored by 13.5 in a slight reverse move, while the total has climbed three points to 212. The Raptors play slightly better defensively at home, while the Knicks are the typical scores less, allow more. The Knicks are 16-15 after a loss and have gone under in six straight, while the Raptors are 17-19 after a win.
Boston at Washington: The Wizards are favored by 1.5 and the total is 204.5. Boston is 7-7-1 after a loss, while the Wizards are 12-10 after a loss and have gone on a 9-3 run at home.
Charlotte at Portland: The Blazers are favored by 3.5 and the total is 213, as the Hornets have gone over in their last four. The Blazers can run if they choose to do so, but typically elect to play a slower pace. Portland is 11-12-1 after a loss, while the Hornets have gone 15-14 after a loss.
Oklahoma City at Lakers: The Thunder are favored by 3.5 and the total is 216.5, while the Lakers have gone 11-10 after a win, the Thunder have gone 15-15 after a win.
Dallas at Golden State: The Warriors are favored by 14 and the total is 221. The Mavs have gone 12-23-1 after a loss, while the Warriors are 9-2-1 after a loss and 11-3-1 when favored by 12 or more. Dallas is 2-2 when the total is 215 or more and 1-0 when it’s at least 220, losing to the Warriors 125-122 last month when the total was 220. Have to take this one to go over, as I believe you have to give a lot more weight to Golden State’s trends in this one, as they should dictate play.
