We’re back today after passing Saturday and our season record is 6-6 in regular plays and 11-1 in opinion plays, which are obviously performing a lot better. While we have a small slate of games today we have seen several good-sized line movements.
Orlando at New York: The Knicks are favored by 1.5 and the total has jumped 2.5 points to 214.5. I have the total on this one at 217, as Orlando has seen its last six games go over the total and their last four on the road, as well. The Knicks are in the opposite boat, having seen their last four home games land under the total.
Golden State at Miami: Another game featuring a big move with the total, as the game opened at 218.5 and is now up to 221.5. The Warriors have stayed 10.5-point favorites throughout. I have Golden State winning 116-107, so pretty close to both the side and the total. Miami is on a 4-10-1 run when underdogs and on a 3-9 run when getting 8 or more points since the start of last season. Miami is coming off a victory and have posted a 17-29-4 record in that spot, including a 3-7 ledger this season. Golden State is 6-9-1 this season after a victory. While the numbers are calling for a slight over, everything else looks to be on the under, so will make the under 221.5 an opinion play for today.
LA Clippers at Minnesota: The Timberwolves are favored by 12 and the total has held pretty steady at 213. I have the Timberwolves winning by just two, 106-104, and not sure the loss of Blake Griffin isn’t a little excessive, but will be staying away from this one.
San Antonio at Oklahoma City: The total here has dropped from 199.5 to 195.5, as the Spurs will be without Aldridge. I have Oklahoma City winning 102-100, but not real anxious to go against the line move, so will be staying away from this one. The Thunder are favored by 8 after opening as 4.5-point favorites.
Houston at Lakers: The Rockets are favored by 12.5 and the total is 225.5. I have this one 118-104, and the Lakers are 6-1 in their last six home games. The over is a huge public play and will probably become even more of one as the day goes on and players are looking for the bailout play.
