We stopped our skid, at least for the time being, Friday night, as Sacramento managed to sneak over the total, to move us to 30-18 for the season. A decent schedule today, with the majority of the games expected to be fairly close, with four of the seven games having a line of 4.5 or less.
New York at New Orleans: The Pelicans are favored by 5.5 and the total has climbed several points to 217.5 after opening at 215. I made this one 110-102 in favor of the Pelicans. While the numbers are calling for an easy under, both teams are going on solid over trends, so I’ll stay away from this one.
Miami at Orlando: The Heat are favored by 1.5 and the total has dropped to 204 in a slight reverse line move, as the over/under opened at 205 and dropped despite two-thirds of the wagers coming in on the over. I made this one 101-96 in favor of the Heat. Orlando has gone under in its last five games, while the Heat are on a 4-14 overall run and have gone 6-9-1 following a defeat and the Magic have gone 6-5 after a victory, but will still go ahead and tab this for tonight’s play, as most of the trends support the under, along with the numbers and the line movement.
San Antonio at Detroit: The Spurs are favored by 4.5 and the total is 196, while I have Detroit winning 96-95. Both teams are in under situations and the Spurs are 7-17 following a win, while the Pistons are 3-10-1 after a defeat. There has been the slightest of reverse movement towards the over in this one, however.
Portland at Atlanta: The Blazers are favored by 3.5 and the total is 207.5, while I made this one 105-103 in favor of the Hawks. Portland is on a 3-14-1 under run as road favorites.
Cleveland at Utah: The Cavs are favored by 3.5 with a total of 208, while I have the game 102-102. Cleveland is 3-9 in its last 12 road games.
Memphis at Golden State: The Warriors are favored by 13.5 and the total has climbed 1.5 points and now sits at 207. I made this one 107-94 in favor of the Warriors, but there are no significant trends for either team.
Philadelphia at Denver: Interesting game here, as the Nuggets are favored by 7 and the total is 216. Both teams have put a little more emphasis on defense this year, but I still have
