We fell to 6-6 on regular plays last night and are still holding at 9-1 on opinion plays, as I had an ideal our winning streak was drawing to a close. Always get a bit nervous when six or seven straight fall our way, so off to night’s relatively small slate and the final day of two-point adjustments in our ratings, as we’ll stick to one-point maximums for the remainder of the season.
Philadelphia at Boston: The Celtics are favored by 8.5 and the total has climbed to 211.5 from 210. The 76ers are getting slight reverse line movement action, but don’t really see that affecting the total. The 76ers are 23-10-2 on the road, while the Celtics are on 5-0-1 run, so a game to probably stay away from.
Cleveland at Atlanta: The Cavs are favored by 7.5 and the total has held steady at 215.5 evewith two-thirds of the wagers coming in on the over. The Hawks are on a fairly big over run at home, but hesitant to take the over after seeing the line hold steady.
Chicago at Denver: The Nuggets are favored by 11 and the total is 209 in a game that has received lopsided betting on the over, yet shown just a half-point move. The Bulls are getting a bit of action, which may suggest an under play, as it’s unlikely Chicago can play keep-up with the Nuggets.
Milwaukee at Portland: The Blazers are favored by 3.5 and the total is 201.5, as the Blazers are on a major under run at home and as a favorite. The Bucks are a higher-scoring team on the road, while the Blazers are pretty consistent at home and away, without a noticeable difference. Will tab the under as an opinion play for tonight. The Blazers are just 2-10 following a victory this season and won their last game.
Utah at LA Clippers: The Jazz are favored by 2.5 and the total on the game is up to 202 after opening at 200 and the over getting a slight majority of the wagers, so there appears to be a bit of sharp action on the over, but going to stay away from this one.
