We moved to 7-1 on our NBA total opinion plays Saturday night, but are just 6-5 in regular plays and today are faced with just a three-game slate, as football takes center stage, both in the United States and North of the Border with the Grey Cup.
All six teams in action were off last night, so no back-to-back situations are involved for anybody.
Miami at Chicago: The Heat are favored by 7 and the total here is 197, while I have the Heat coming away with a 96-93 victory. The Heat are off a victory and have gone 17-27-4 after a victory since the beginning of last season and 3-5 in totals this season. The Bulls are 5-8 after a loss this season and 19-37-1 since the start of last season. Will go ahead and tab the under in this one as an opinion play, since we have a line one just one other game.
Phoenix at Minnesota: There’s no line out on this one, which I have Minnesota winning 116-110. The two teams are trending in opposite directions as far as totals go, with Minnesota on a 9-3 run in away totals, while the Timberwolves are on a 2-10 slide. The Timberwolves are coming off a loss and are 32-25 after a loss dating back to the start of last season and 4-3 this season. The Suns are 7-5 following a loss this season.
Brooklyn at Memphis: The Grizzlies are favored by 5.5 and the total is 211.5, while I have Memphis coming away with a 106-100 victory. Memphis is on a 2-8 run at home and are 3-7 this season after a loss, which is a slight reversal from last season. The Nets are 38-29-5 following a defeat since the start of last season and 7-3-1 this season, so a few conflicting trends here.
