We moved to 2-2 on the season with the Denver game landing under the total and have a slightly larger slate of games tonight, but one where the sportsbooks are lagging on a couple of games, so the number of actual bet-able games we have isn’t much different than we’ve had the past couple of days.
Atlanta at Detroit: The Pistons opened as 9-point favorites over the Hawks with a total of 209 and Detroit has dropped a bit to 8.5 with a total of 208.5. The numbers have the Pistons winning 105-96.
Charlotte at Boston: This is the first of three games the bookmakers are late with in posting a line. The numbers have Boston winning 108-101.
Indiana at Chicago: Yet another game the books haven’t put a total on. The numbers say Bulls 104-101.
Milwaukee at San Antonio: The Spurs are favored by 5.5 and the total on this one is sitting at 206. The numbers have the Spurs coming away with a 108-100 victory. The trends are calling for an over, as the Bucks have gone 6-1 in their last seven road games and the Spurs are on a 9-3 run at home.
Orlando at Phoenix: The Magic are favored by 3.5 and the total on this one has dropped from its opening 226 down to 224. The numbers have the Magic winning 114-113.
Miami at Utah: The Jazz are favored by 4 and the total on the game is 196.5. My numbers are calling for a 95-92 Jazz victory. Totals under 197 have pretty much been a 50-50 proposition since the start of last season. Going to have to take the under in this one as today’s play, as it’s the largest difference between the projection and the total.
LA Clippers at Thunder: The Thunder opened 6.5 points and the total is 209.5, while the numbers are calling for the Clippers to escape with a 110-108 victory. The Thunder played last night, but the Thunder have been close to a 50-50 proposition when playing the second of back-to-back situations since the start of last year and 3-2 when the second game is at home.
Brooklyn at Portland: Portland is favored by 9 in this one and the total has dropped a couple of points to 222, despite the majority of the wagers coming in on the over. My numbers are calling for the Blazers to come away with a 115-108 victory, so not much room for error on either the side or the total.
