NBA Sports Betting Picks: Miami Heat at New York Knicks
- Updated: December 17, 2010
The New York Knicks will host LeBron James and the Miami Heat in Madison Square Garden to kick off the weekend. Diamond Sportsbook International (DSI) has the NBA covered with the latest odds and wagering opportunities on every game. These two teams have been one of the hottest teams in the league.
While the biggest off season in the NBA featured LeBron James and his move from Cleveland to South Beach there is something to be said about the Knicks off-season moves.
Amar’e Stoudemire is considered one of the best players in the NBA and when the Knicks scooped him up in the off-season, many skeptics believed that he would not pan out in this offense or without some help from another star player.
Stoudemire may not have Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, but he is putting up wins in the Big Apple and that is all that matters. The Knicks are not waiting until next year and a shot at Carmelo Anthony or Chris Paul; instead they are winning ballgames now. Stoudemire has gone on a tear and scores 30 points in alsmot every game he plays on his way to shattering previous records. The Knicks are mowing throw the schedule and beating quality team like the new Orleans Hornets, Denver Nuggets, and the Chicago Bulls to name a few. Now after losing a close game to the Boston Celtics, they Knicks look to take down the Miami heat.
The Heat started off the year slow, allowing skeptics to skewer this team about every move they make. James then returned to Cleveland and stomped his former team, sparking a dynamite run by the Heat. The Heat put together a winning streak in which they dominated the opposition and averaged winning by double-digits. The critics will say that they Heat did not play any worthy opponents during their great run and that could all change if they get a win in the Big Apple against the new look Knicks.
The Heat are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 against the NBA Atlantic. The Knicks are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game, 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 games as an underdog, and 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall.
Amar’e Stoudemire and LeBron James will duel in the best game of the night under the bright lights of New York City.
Play on the Knicks
