NBA Betting Report

The NBA season is here and Bang the has everything you need to get ready for the upcoming season. Every week we will break down the league and point out teams on the rise or the decline in our Stock Watch report. Every week we will post four teams that are rising up the ladder from a gambling standpoint and four that are to be avoided when going to the betting window.

The very first Stock Watch NBA article will look at four teams that have made the cut and should be watched or avoided early in the season.

On The Rise

Miami Heat

The NBA starts and ends with Lebron James and the defending champion Miami Heat. As long as they have the core of this team intact with Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, they will be considered the team to beat in the league. The X-Factor for this Heat team will be newly acquired center Greg Oden. If he can stay healthy he could give the Heat the presence down low they have been missing. Oden joins a deep roster of Michael Beasley, James Jones and Rashard Lewis to pick up the slack when James, Wade and Bosh are getting a rest.

Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls took the Heat to the wire in nearly every outing a year ago and now with Derrick Rose back in the lineup, the sky is the limit for this team. If Rose is at 100 percent, he will give the Bulls the missing piece they may need to beat the Heat. The Bulls will get off to a quick start and be a good team to watch to start the season.

On the Decline

Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics are one of the best franchises in the league, but they are officially in a rebuilding mode. Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett are now members of the Brooklyn nets and Doc Rivers is in LA with the Clippers. Don’t expect too much from this team early in the season.

LA Lakers

The Lakers will start the season without the injured Kobe Bryant and this will make this team hard to bet. The Lakers will also be without Dwight Howard who is now a member of the Houston Rockets and it will be very difficult for this team to win early. Without Bryant, the Lakers will rely on Pau Gasol and Steve Nash to lead the way and hope that they can get some output from role players like Chris Kaman, Wesley Johnson, and Shawne Williams. This will all equate to a slow start for the Lake show.
