NBA Report: Stock Watch Week of November 5th

NBA Betting Report

The NBA season is here and Bang the has everything you need to get ready for the upcoming season. Every week we will break down the league and point out teams on the rise or the decline in our Stock Watch report. Every week we will post four teams that are rising up the ladder from a gambling standpoint and four that are to be avoided when going to the betting window.

In our next Stock Watch article we look at the teams that have surprised so far this season and the others that have failed to meet expectations.

On The Rise

Minnesota Timberwolves

Every year the Timberwolves put a team on the court that is supposed to have success, but they always come up short. That has changed this year. Kevin Love early in the season is playing MVP like caliber basketball. The Wolves have finally put some quality role players around him that will launch this team into the playoffs. The only loss this season was to the Cavaliers, which was in an excusable back to back spot. It may be early, but Love and the Wolves are for real!

Philadelphia 76ers

The 76ers were predicted by many to finish last in the league, yet here they sit at 3-1 and firmly atop the Atlantic division in the Eastern Conference. Philadelphia rookie Michael Carter-Williams was named player of the week for the first week of the season due to his fast start which has propelled this team into contention early in the season.

It has yet to be seen if these teams will stick around, but they deserve watching.

On the Decline

Miami Heat

LeBron James and the Miami Heat do not panic. They are defending champions and have a team that has the potential to repeat. However, the slow start out of the gate has many teams questioning the inside presence of this Heat squad. Due to a weak division they are currently in first place with a record of 2-2, but it is worth noting that they are dead last in the league when it comes to rebounding the basketball.

Brooklyn Nets

The Nets spent a lot of time and money in the off season building a contender. They dumped big contracts and over rated players and brought in Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett in hopes of bringing a ring to Brooklyn. The early results are ugly. Although they managed to defeat the Heat, they have two other ugly loses to Orlando and Cleveland leaving them with a mediocre 1-2 record to start the season. It is still early for both of these teams but so far it has not been a good start.
