In all of our Stock Watch articles, we are going to break down four teams who should be on your radar list heading into this week of betting on basketball.
On The Rise
Portland Trail Blazers
After starting the season off on a high note, the Trail Blazers hit a end of season swoon. Now with a healthy LaMarcus Aldridge the team seems to be heating up at the right time. They are currently on a three game winning streak and have won 6 of the last ten games. They are also paying off for basketball bettors who are willing to back them as they have covered the number in four of the last five outings. Now is the time to get on the Blazers betting bandwagon.
The Brooklyn Nets are a veteran based team and they are turning it on right before the playoffs begin. They have won two games straight and have won 7 of the last ten games overall. They are winning despite the fact that Kevin Garnett is missing games due to an injury. They are an amazing bankroll building 12-5 against the spread in the last 17 games overall and will only get better down the stretch.
On the Decline
Most teams like to finish strong down the stretch, but the Indiana Pacers are taking a different approach. After getting embarrassed on their home court to the San Antonio Spurs, the Pacers and their fans are not heading into the post season with the utmost confidence. They are now tied with the Miami Heat for the top seed in the Eastern Conference standings. The Pacers have lost three straight games and they are just 4-6 straight up in the last ten games. This team will get either the first or the second seed in the playoffs, and although they want the top spot, they are in a bad way right now. Avoid the Pacers especially as favorites in the near future.
Don’t waste your money on the boys from Boston. They are resting Rajon Rondo on a regular basis and have given up on the season. They have lost five straight and 9 of the last ten games overall. Avoid betting on the Celtics whenever possible.
