Taking a look Beyond the Box Score to kick off this weekend show, Cole had some thoughts on the Memphis Grizzlies and their series victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. What stood out about this series that could help the Grizzlies as they look ahead to their series against the Golden State Warriors?

Everybody is focused on the playoffs, but the time is now to start looking into how teams might change over the offseason. We’ve already seen a major splash in the coaching world with Oklahoma City’s hiring of Billy Donovan. What other teams have some big questions to answer during their downtime? During this segment, Cole discussed a couple of teams to keep an eye on and some tips on how to keep from getting too far behind the curve.

Looking ahead at some second-round matchups, the Cleveland Cavs and Chicago Bulls battle in the East and the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies square off in the West. Cole had a surprise upset pick for one of these two series that listeners will be very interested in. This is one of the best parts about Betting the Buckets because Cole is not afraid to go against the grain and discuss some tough bets to make.

Finally, there are some big games over the weekend, with Game 6 between the Brooklyn Nets and Atlanta Hawks and Game 7 of the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers series. Cole gave out his thoughts and picks on both of those series, as well as a pick for Game 1 between the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors.
