The NBA has a couple of pivotal games on Wednesday night, as those series are tied at two games apiece. The Philadelphia 76ers and Atlanta Hawks do battle, and then there is the game in Salt Lake City between the Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Clippers.

That begins at 10:05 PM ET, and there is still something in doubt about the availability of Utah’s floor leader.

But there is no doubt about the number of props that are available at BetOnline, where they can take your sports betting to another level.Don’t forget that you can also click on the “Live Betting” tab and place wagers during the game itself.

Game 5 – Western Conference Playoffs
LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS at UTAH JAZZ, 10:05 PM ET (Wednesday)

NBA Playoff Odds:  Jazz -3 / Total 222

If you were the Utah Jazz, you know there would be a lot of things to worry about right now.

The absence of point guard Mike Conley (hamstring) is not the least of it, and it is questionable as to whether he will be available for Game 5 of their Western Conference playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Also of great concern is the workload that is being heaped upon Donovan Mitchell, who in addition to being the primary scorer – and a big one at that – he has assumed point guard duties as well, since Utah doesn’t have a lot of backup options in that area.

But I would also be worried about the fact that one of the things that has really pulled the Jazz through this season – the ability to greatly outscore their opponents in three-point volume – has been minimized.

As a result of this, the Jazz have been on the short end of two consecutive double-digit losses, which makes this a two-out-of-three against a team with Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and a supporting cast of pretty good role players.

It should be pointed out that with an Offensive Rating of 126.2 (which would have led the NBA by a wide margin this season), the Clippers have made themselves very difficult for the Jazz to defend.

Of course, some of this works the other way as well, particularly when it comes to Mitchell, who has averaged 37.3 points a game and has even led this team in assists (4.5 per contest) during this series.

Everybody knows that he is awesome when he attacks the basket. But he has also kept defenses honest with his ability to knock down outside shots; in fact, he is 45% from three-point range.

The Jazz have made good on just below 42% of their attempts from beyond the arc. That’s about the same percentage as the Clippers. When you total up the points they have tallied in triples, they have outscored L.A. by nine points per game in that regard.

Sure it’s a lot. But it’s only a little more than half of the advantage Utah has had in that category this season (17.3 ppg). There’s something to be said for that.

But the Jazz will continue to fire away from deep; their four top scorers in this series are hitting at least 42% from the arc.

In the previous series, when Conley started five games, Mitchell averaged 28.5 points against Memphis.

In terms of his over-under on his points scored, Mitchell is at 33.5 (-114 either way), which is a jump from 30.5, where it’s been. We’re not sure it’s such an automatic that he’ll surpass that, since Clippers coach Ty Lue seemed pretty happy about what Patrick Beverley, Terance Mann and Paul George were able to do against him in Game 4. And then of course, Conley would affect things.

We will tell you this – the offenses have played better than expected. The Clippers, for example, have shot 48% for the series. And they aren’t so hell bent on banging around on the inside, which minimizes the effect of Rudy Gobert. We’ll go OVER the total on this one.
