Could the Los Angeles Clippers complete a journey where they came back from being down three games to one to beat the Phoenix Suns? Nobody would have given much for their chances of doing that after Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals, especially without Kawhi Leonard, who remains out with an injury and may not be back at all.

But BetAnySports customers saw an effort that may have been the best in Paul George’s career as they went into the desert on Monday night, and suddenly they have the opportunity to tie things up as we go to the Staples Center on Wednesday for Game 6, which is slated to get underway at 9:05 PM ET.

George seemingly couldn’t miss, making 15 of his 20 shots, and ending up with 41 points – 30 in the second half – with 13 rebounds. And he fought his way through a bit of physical abuse as well.

George wasn’t alone; Reggie Jackson had 23 points, with Marcus Morris adding 22 for the Clippers.

With Kawhi out of action, it’s a challenge to fill a void in the scoring column. Jackson has proven to be dependable, averaging close to 22 points per contest. But admittedly it’s not the easiest thing in the world being able to distract the opposition away from focusing on George, who has the highest Usage percentage of anyone in this series at 35.3%.

If you like props, BetAnySports has them, on any important player involved. You can also access the “Live” tab at the top of the sportsbook interface to do real-time wagering during the game itself, through Ultimate Lines or Super Lines.

Here are their NBA playoff betting odds on Game 6:

Los Angeles Clippers +1 (-115)

Over 215 points -110
Under 215 points -110

To have George as a primary offensive option is a virtual no-brainer for coach Ty Lue. But perhaps the best decision the coach has made is to give Patrick Beverley more playing time.

During this playoff season, there was a stretch where Lue gave Beverley just 17 minutes of playing time over six games. And no matter who the opponents were, that was a  paltry figure.

We say that taking into consideration the fact that Beverley is a three-time member of the NBA’s All-Defensive team. He is such a pest; so in-your-face, that no opponent likes to see him.

Phoenix has a pair of All-Star guards, and Beverley has alternated bothering both of them. Neither one of them has been all that efficient in this series. Chris Paul, who missed the first two games, has an Offensive Rating of 83 and a shooting percentage of 31.7%. Devin Booker, whose nose has been broken by Beverley (inadvertently, we think), has shot 38% with an Offensive Rating of 97.

Beverley plays the mental game as well. There was one sequence in which Paul went up for a jumper and fell on his back after the two made contact. It was called a flagrant foul, although truth be told, DeAndre Ayton, who was setting a screen on the play, stuck out his knee as Beverley was going by. But Beverley mocked Paul after the call was made and told him “Way to sell it” before the fee throws.

We agree.

Needless to say, it has been wise for Lue to start Beverley in four of the five games. What it’s told us is that the Clippers are looking more toward turning this into a defensive series rather than one where they are simply going to try and outduel the Suns on offense.

So UNDER is the way to go for us.
