The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Philadelphia 76ers are going to duke it out on Tuesday night in NBA betting action in the City of Brotherly Love in the first half of the NBA TV doubleheader.

Considering just how bad the Cavs were last year, the fact that they are even still remotely discussing the playoffs is a great thing. Picking Kyrie Irving with the first pick in the NBA Draft has clearly worked, and the argument could be made that he is the NBA’s Rookie of the Year. He is shooting 47.2 percent from the field and 40.1 percent from beyond the arc, and he is leading the team in scoring at 18.8 points per game. Antawn Jamison has also been able to step into the fold and come up with 18.0 points per game to help the team as well. There are some question marks indeed, especially after dealing Ramon Sessions to the Los Angeles Lakers. However, there is no doubt that this team has become a heck of a lot better this year, especially knowing that it is a healthy team, save for the fact that Anderson Varejao is still out of the fold with a wrist injury for at least the next two weeks.

The 76ers are still playing okay ball, but the truth of the matter is that they are about to lose their hold on the Atlantic Division and definitely aren’t still a lock to get into the playoffs. The Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks are both as hot as could be right now, and the C’s are level and the Knicks are just 2.5 back. Andre Iguodala is battling a patella problem right now, and he was a surprising scratch two nights ago in a bad loss against the San Antonio Spurs. He is still listed as questionable for this one. With Iguodala out of the lineup, it is really going to hurt the defensive effort for this team. That being said, there are a lot of players that can get on the scoreboard. Louis Williams, Jrue Holiday, Thaddeus Young, and Elton Brand are all averaging double digits in scoring per game as well, and Evan Turner, Jodie Meeks, and Spencer Hawes could all go off for at least a dozen points in a game as well.

The Final Word: There is no line yet in this one, but even if Iguodala gets on the court, we just aren’t so sure that the Sixers are going to be able to get the job done. We really think that the Cavaliers are set to string a few wins together, and if that turns out to be the case, they really could get the job done on the road in the City of Brotherly Love.
