Oklahoma City Thunder (54-26 SU, 42-37-1 ATS) vs. Sacramento Kings (24-56 SU, 37-41-2 ATS)

The Oklahoma City Thunder are coming off a huge win in Los Angeles late Sunday night. Oklahoma City finished the game on a huge run and they left the Lakers wondering what happened. The Kings won in Golden State on Sunday night as well, and Sacramento has been playing a little bit better basketball over the last couple weeks. Oklahoma City is playing for seeding in the Western Conference, so I expect them to come out with another strong effort in this one.
Kevin Durant led the way last night with 31 points for the Thunder, and Russell Westbrook had 26 points as well. The Thunder showed just how deep their bench is on Sunday night. Ten players played at least 13 minutes in the win over the Lakers. When Nate Robinson returns from his injury, the Thunder will have 11 guys who see the court on a consistent basis. James Harden has flown under the radar a bit, but he has been tremendous over the last couple months. He has been in double figures in eight of the Thunder’s last ten games overall. Oklahoma City’s ability to knock down free throws is amazing. The Thunder went 32-35 from the line on Sunday night, and they lead the NBA with a free throw percentage of 82.3% for the year.
The Sacramento Kings haven’t had a good year at all, but they deserve some credit for playing hard all the way to the end of the season. The Kings have won three of their last five games overall. Marcus Thornton has been a nice spark for this team, and he has scored more than 20 points in five of their last ten games. Tyreke Evans is back and healthy, which gives the team a very versatile point guard. The Kings are a good offensive rebounding team, but they don’t shoot a good percentage from the floor. This is a team that settles for too many contested three-pointers. It appeared this team was making progress last year, but this year was a big step backward. It looks like their time in Sacramento is coming to an end. I expect some major changes for this team over the next few months.
I think this will be a high scoring affair. The Thunder lit up the Kings for 126 points in their last meeting, and I think the over is the best way to play this game.
