The Miami Heat continue a three-game road trip against the Chicago Bulls this Wednesday night at the United Center in what will mostly likely be a preview of this season’s Eastern Conference Finals. The game is set to tip-off at 9:30 p.m. (ET) and it will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
Miami kicks-off this week’s trip with a Tuesday night clash against Orlando before heading out to Chicago. It is riding a three-game winning streak after Saturday’s thrilling 93-91 victory over Indiana as a 9.5-point home favorite. The Heat are now 31-9 straight-up this season and 20-20 against the spread. They are 13-7 SU and 10-10 ATS on the road with the total going 10-8-2 in the 20 games.
LeBron James’ 27.7 points a game and Dwyane Wade’s 22.5 points have Miami ranked second in the NBA in scoring, with an average of 102.6 points a game. The Heat are shooting 48.5 percent from the field and 39.4 percent from three-point range, which are also ranks them at or near the top of the league.
Tuesday night’s 104-99 victory over New York as an 8.5-point home favorite raised Chicago’s overall record to an NBA-best 35-9 SU (26-18 ATS). The Bulls are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against the Southeast Division and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games playing on one day’s rest. The total has gone ‘over’ in five of their last six home games.
Miami has won the last five meetings SU and is 4-1 ATS. The total has stayed ‘under’ in eight of the last 10 games in Chicago. The Heat won 97-93 earlier this season as 4.5-point home favorites, but look for the Bulls to snap the current skid at five as they take full advantage of their home court and an extra day’s rest.
