MLB Trends for Series Starting 8/9
- Updated: August 9, 2013
The Detroit Tigers four-game sweep in Cleveland really put a damper on the Indians chances in the American League Central. Detroit has dominated in the season series between these two and that will likely be too much for the Indians to overcome.
Looking forward to this weekend, the Tigers will be in New York to face a reeling Yankees team. After high hopes early in the season, the Yankees have lost touch in the AL East. The two hottest teams in baseball over the past couple months will get together when the Tampa Bay Rays meet the Los Angeles Dodgers in a key interleague series at Dodger Stadium this weekend.
