MLB Betting Trends for Series Starting 7/24 and 7/25

Coming out of the All-Star break with some momentum is important. Some teams have done a nice job of that while others are in freefall mode right now. The Cincinnati Reds have lost all six of their contests since the second half of the season started. Key injuries are starting to prove too much to overcome for Cincinnati. Pittsburgh has won five of six since the start of the second half, and they are right in the thick of the NL Central race.

The Dodgers are 4-12 in the last 16 meetings between these teams.
-Baltimore has gotten some momentum and run out to a bit of a lead in the AL East. The Orioles are 13-6 in their last 19 games overall. They are 6-2 in their last 8 games in Seattle. The Mariners are 2-5 in their last 7. Felix Hernandez goes Friday night, but the Mariners are 0-4 in his last 4 starts vs. Baltimore.
-Washington comes into this series red hot and the Cincinnati Reds are ice cold. The Nationals are 0-6 in their last 6 Friday games however. Washington is 5-1 in their last 6 games following a loss. The Reds are 0-8 in their last 8 vs. a right-handed starter. The over is 8-2-1 in the last 11 games between these two teams.
-Cleveland and Kansas City are jockeying for position in the AL Central. Both of these teams have been up and down all year long. The Indians are just 1-6 in their last 7 in Kansas City, but the Royals are only 4-9 in their last 13 home games. The over is 34-13-4 in the last 51 games between these two in Kansas City.
-Detroit and Los Angeles in Anaheim this weekend is a possible ALCS preview. The Tigers are 13-4 in their last 17 road games. The Tigers are 13-3 in their last 16 road games vs. a team with a winning record. The Angels are 22-7 in their last 29 games. They are 35-16 in their last 51 home games. The Tigers are 2-10 in their last 12 meetings with the Angels.
-The best team in baseball so far this year takes on the ice cold Texas Rangers this weekend. Oakland is 41-15 in their last 56 games as a favorite. The Rangers are 7-22 in their last 29 home games. Oakland is 6-0 in their last 6 games at Texas.
-The Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays play an important series in Tampa this weekend. The Rays had the worst record in baseball at one point, but they are on fire right now. Tampa Bay is 20-7 in their last 27 games, and they are within striking distance in the AL East. The Red Sox are 1-5 in their last 6 games at Tampa Bay.
