MLB Betting Trends for Series Starting 6/19 and 6/20
- Updated: June 19, 2014
Who could have seen the recent run by the Kansas City Royals coming? Kansas City was floundering below .500 and all at once became scorching hot. They’ve now taken over the top spot in the AL Central. I still believe the Tigers will end the season at the top of that division, but this run by the Royals has been impressive to say the least. With the Giants recent bad stretch, the Oakland A’s now have the best record in baseball.
BangtheBook wants to give you more information to make your baseball bets winning ones this year. We will be posting this MLB trends article two times each week. Expect this article on Monday’s and Thursday’s of each week. This article will highlight trends to consider for this weekend’s series’.
-Detroit will look to get back on track with another tough series in Cleveland this weekend. The Indians sit at .500, and they are within striking distance in the division as well. Cleveland is 35-17 in their last 52 home games. Detroit is 5-12 in their last 17 games overall. The over is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings between these teams.
-The Braves and Nationals have a key series this weekend in Washington. The Braves have fallen off in a big way of late, and the Nats now lead the division despite all of their recent injuries. The Braves have owned the Nationals in the past. Does it continue this weekend or not? Atlanta is 22-7 in the last 29 meetings overall. They are 10-3 in their last 13 in Washington.
-The Los Angeles Angels have been playing good baseball of late. Texas is going in the other direction. Texas is 20-7 in their last 27 games against the Angels. The Angels are 6-1 in their last 7 home games. The over is 32-15-4 in the last 51 meetings between these two.
-The over is a perfect 6-0 in the Brewers last 6 games in Coors Field against the Rockies. Milwaukee is also 15-37 in their last 52 games in Colorado. The Rockies have cooled off significantly of late, and they are just 6-14 in their last 20 games overall.
-Boston can’t be thrilled to be heading out to Oakland this weekend. The A’s have the best record in baseball, and they have dominated Boston for the past few years. Oakland is 12-5 in their last 17 against Boston overall. They are 26-9 in their last 35 home games against the Red Sox. The under is 6-0 in the last 6 meetings.
-The Dodgers are 9-2 in their last 11 games against the Padres. They are 4-1 in their last 5 games at San Diego. The under is 10-1 in the last 11 meetings overall between these two. The under is a perfect 8-0 in the last 8 games between these two at Petco Park.
-The Chicago White Sox are 29-62 in their last 91 road games. On the other hand, they are 18-8 in their last 26 games at Minnesota. The Twins are 0-5 in their last 5 games. Minnesota is 13-29 in their last 42 Friday games.
-The New York Mets are 1-8 in their last 9 road games. The Marlins have won five straight home games against the Mets. The under is 10-1-2 in the last 13 meetings between these teams. The under is 5-0-1 in the last 6 games between these two in Miami.
