MLB Betting Trends for Series Starting 6/2 and 6/3
- Updated: June 2, 2014
There’s no shortage of good matchups on the schedule this week. Toronto is the biggest surprise in the American League, but they’ll have to go against Detroit (who I believe is the best team in the AL) this week in what should be a great series. Oakland travels to Yankee Stadium to take on the up and down Yankees. Kansas City and St. Louis renew their rivalry at Busch Stadium this week as well.
BangtheBook wants to give you more information to make your baseball bets winning ones this year. We will be posting this MLB trends article two times each week. Expect this article on Monday’s and Thursday’s of each week. This article will highlight trends to consider for this weekend’s series’.
-The Royals are 4-0 in their last 4 interleague games, but they’ll have their hands full in St. Louis this week. Kansas City is just 1-6 in the last 7 meetings between these two rivals. It is important to note that the Cardinals are just 3-7 in their last 10 games vs. a left-handed pitcher, so make sure you check who the Cardinals lineup is against on a daily basis.
-The Boston Red Sox lost ten games in a row, and now they have won seven games in a row. How much sense does that make? They’ll look to keep it going in Cleveland this week. Boston is 7-1 in their last 8 games against the Tribe. The Red Sox are 4-0 in their last 4 games at Cleveland. The over is 7-0-1 in the last 8 meetings between these two teams.
-The San Francisco Giants broke the Cincinnati Reds hearts in the playoffs a couple years ago. The Giants will be in Cincinnati to take on the Reds this week. Homer Bailey has been off to a slow start this year, but last time he faced the Giants at home he threw a no-hitter last July. He starts Tuesday’s series opener. The Giants are 26-10 in their last 36 games, and they now have the best record in baseball.
-Toronto is 8-1 in their last 9 road games. The Blue Jays are 21-7 in their last 28 games overall. Detroit is just 4-10 in their last 14 games, but they are 6-0 in their last 6 vs. the AL East. Detroit is also 9-2 in their last 11 meetings with Toronto. The over is 6-1 in the last 7 games between these teams.
-The Baltimore Orioles are 4-0 in their last 4 games at Texas. The Rangers are just 4-10 in their last 14 home games. Baltimore is 38-15 in their last 53 games following an off day. The Orioles are off Monday before they start a series with Texas on Tuesday.
-Jorge De La Rosa starts Tuesday for the Colorado Rockies against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Rockies are 10-0 in De La Rosa’s last 10 home starts against Arizona. Overall, the Rockies are 40-11 in De La Rosa’s last 51 home games.
-Tampa Bay takes on Miami an in intrastate battle in Miami this week. The Rays have completely dominated this series in the past. Tampa Bay is 27-9 in the last 36 meetings. The Rays have also won 6 straight meetings between these teams.
-Pittsburgh is just 14-39 in their last 53 games against the San Diego Padres. The Padres are 17-8 in their last 25 home games against the Pirates.
-The Seattle Mariners are 0-5 in their last meetings with the Atlanta Braves. The Braves are an amazing 85-40 in their last 125 home games overall.
