MLB Betting Trends for Series Starting 5/26

Memorial Day is here, and that means day baseball to start the week off. It also means a short work week for a lot of people. In addition, it means a full slate of games starting on Monday. Sit back and relax and enjoy some baseball action. We’ll start you off with some trends to help you make better informed wagers this week.

-Detroit and Oakland is an interesting matchup of two of the top teams in the American League. This series could definitely be a preview of a playoff series. Detroit is an impressive 7-0 in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning record. Detroit is 17-4 in their last 21 games vs. a left-handed starter. Oakland is 75-35 in their last 110 games as a home favorite.
-The Miami Marlins have been very good at home this year, but they still can’t win on the road. Their long-term record on the road is ugly, and it hasn’t been getting any better lately. The Marlins are 32-81 in their last 113 road games. They are also 7-19 in their last 26 games in Washington, and that’s where they will be this week.
-Texas will be in Minnesota to take on the Twins this week. The Rangers are 5-11 in their last 16 games vs. a right-handed pitcher. The Twins are 6-2 in their last 8 home games, but they are just 3-7 in their last 10 as a favorite. The under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings between these teams and 7-1 in the last 8 games between these two at Minnesota.
-Johnny Cueto will start for the Reds as Hyun-Jin Ryu starts for the Dodgers on Monday night to start off the series between Cincinnati and Los Angeles. The Reds are 8-1 in Cueto’s last 9 starts vs. the NL West, but they are 1-4 in Cueto’s last 5 road starts. The Dodgers are 14-5 in their last 19 Monday games. The under is 10-1-1 in the last 12 meetings between these teams.
-The Yankees and Cardinals will meet this week, and that’s an interesting matchup. New York is 3-9 in their last 12 games vs. a team with a winning record. The Cardinals are 39-14 in their last 53 home games. The under is 9-1 in the Yankees last 10 games. The under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings between these teams.
-Boston has hit the skids in a big way. The Red Sox have lost eight games in a row. They will be in Atlanta to take on the Braves this week. Atlanta is 84-38 in their last 122 home games. The Red Sox are 6-2 in the last 8 meetings between these teams.
-The Cubs and Giants start a series Monday afternoon. The under is a perfect 7-0-1 in the last 8 games between these two teams at San Francisco. The Cubs are just 9-24 in their last 33 road games. The Giants are 14-5 in their last 19 home games.
-The Angels and Mariners meet in an American League West battle. Los Angeles is 5-1 in their last 6 road games. The Angels are also 4-1 in their last 5 games at Seattle. The over is 4-1 in their last 5 meetings.
