Nobody doubted the Detroit Tigers coming into this season, but they have been even better than anyone could have expected so far in 2014. Detroit swept away Boston at Fenway and sits at 27-12 with easily the best record in baseball. The Tigers already have a seven game lead in the AL Central. The Chicago Cubs now have the worst record in baseball at 15-27. The AL East and NL East continue to be one massive logjam of teams all fighting for the top spot.

-Seattle and Texas are just half a game apart in the AL West standings, and the Mariners will be in Texas for a three-game series this week. Seattle is off on Monday, and they are 7-1 in their last 8 games following an off day. The Rangers won on Sunday and they are 1-6 in their last 7 games following a win. The Mariners are just 33-72 in their last 105 games at Texas.
-Tampa Bay is going home for a series against Oakland this week. The Rays are just 1-6 in their last 7 home games. Oakland is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a losing record. They are 9-1 in their last 10 games overall. The over is 14-6-2 in the last 22 meetings between these teams.
-The Yankees travel to Wrigley Field to take on the Cubs in an interleague battle this week. New York’s offense has started to heat up of late. The Dodgers are 0-6 in Beckett’s last 6 road starts. They are 4-10 in Beckett’s last 14 starts as a favorite. The Mets are just 4-9 in their last 13 games against a team with a winning record. The over is 7-2-1 in the last 10 meetings between these teams.
-The Giants are 17-7 in their last 24 games. They are 8-3 in their last 11 road games. San Francisco is in Colorado to take on the Rockies starting on Tuesday. Colorado is 4-1 in their last 5 home games. The under is 8-1-1 in the last 10 games between these two teams at Coors Field.
