MLB Betting Trends for Series Starting 5/12 and 5/13
- Updated: May 13, 2014
After the first month and a half of action, there are plenty of notable surprises and disappointments. Milwaukee is a huge surprise and they are five games ahead in the National League Central. The Miami Marlins are 20-18 and in second place in the NL East. The Colorado Rockies are 23-17 and second in the NL West. On the other side, the Tampa Bay Rays are a big disappointment at 16-22. St. Louis is just 19-19 despite having an absolutely loaded roster. Lots can change since the season is so long, so it will be interesting to see where this stands in another month or so.

-The Boston Red Sox have nudged their way above .500, and they can’t be too unhappy about heading to Minnesota for a three-game series starting Tuesday. Boston is 6-0 in their last 6 games at Minnesota. The Twins are 19-40 in their last 59 home games.
-Detroit goes to Baltimore this week for a weekday series. The Tigers are 5-0 in their last 5 road games. The Orioles are 5-1 in their last 6 games overall. The over is 5-2-1 in the last 8 meetings at Baltimore between these two teams.
-Atlanta and San Francisco meet in a series between two of the top teams in the National League. The Braves are 0-4 in their last 4 road games.
