MLB Betting Analysis August 27, 2017

Last Updated: 2017-08-27

Another split on Saturday, but we’ll keep with the same premise today, as we have the usual assortment of day games for this Sunday.

Pittsburgh at Cincinnati: The Pirates have climbed to -119, which is about what we would expect with the betting patterns we’re seeing in this one, as Mahle gets the start for the Reds.

San Diego at Miami: Straily is down to -161 over Richard after opening at -170 and the majority of the wagers are coming in on the Marlins.

Colorado at Atlanta: The Rockies are -128 with Gray and Foltynewicz the expected starters in this one.

Cubs at Philadelphia: The Cubs are in the -200 range and the number has stayed there, with Lackey and Pivetta getting the starts.

Mets at Washington: Washington is -160 in the early game, with Fedde favored over Milone in a game that has seen the Nationals climb from the opening number of -145.

Milwaukee at Dodgers: Darvish is -200 over Nelson in another game that hasn’t seen a whole lot of movement from its opening number.

San Francisco at Arizona: The Diamondbacks are now close to -200 with Corbin favored over Stratton.

Seattle at Yankees: Tanaka and the Yankees have dropped slightly in price and are now -178 after opening -190 and getting the majority of the wagers, as somebody is backing Albers a little bit.

Minnesota at Toronto: Biagini is now -143 after opening -124 over Gibson in a game that the Twins have actually received the majority of the wagers on.

Kansas City at Cleveland: The Indians are -195 with Carrasco over Skoglund in a game that hasn’t seen a lot of movement from the opening number.

Baltimore at Boston: The Red Sox and Fister are -143 over the Orioles and Miley, which is pretty consistent with the betting we’ve seen in the game.

Detroit at White Sox: This one is -105 in both directions, which is pretty consistent with the betting patterns we’re seeing.

Texas at Oakland: This one is also -105 both directions with Cotton and Griffin getting the starts. Griffin and the Rangers opened -111 and are getting the bulk of the wagers.

Hosuton at Angels: Morton and the Astros are now -131 over Nolasco and the Angels after opening -116. The move is expected with three-fourths of the wagers coming in on the favorite.

Tampa Bay at St. Louis: Archer and the Rays are now -122 over Lynn and the Cardinals after St. Louis opened -120 and the betting is pretty even.

Mets at Washington: Roark is -175 over Lugo in the nightcap, which is a shade higher than the betting suggests.

Plays: Oakland -105, Tampa Bay -123.
