MLB Betting Analysis August 25, 2017

Last Updated: 2017-08-25

We split our two baseball games yesterday, catching a decent price on the Indians, so let’s stick with the same premise once again today and let the money guide us to an extent.

Mets at Washington: There’s no line yet on this one featuring deGrom for the Mets and Cole for the Nationals.

Cubs at Phillies: Quintana and the Cubs are -180 against Eickhoff and the Phillies in a game that hasn’t really moved all that much.

Pittsburgh at Cincinnati:
Big line movement in this one, as the Reds opened small favorites and now the Pirates and Nova are -117 over Stephenson and the Reds. The Pirates have gotten nearly three-fourths of the wagers in the game, so the movement isn’t unexpected.

San Diego at Miami: Battle of southpaws in this one, with Wood and Conley the listed starters. The Marlins are -150 in a game that has remained fairly stable.

Colorado at Atlanta: The Braves have gotten some reverse line action and now Teheran is -108 over Bettis after opening the underdog.

San Francisco at Arizona:
The Diamondbacks are -230 behind Greinke against Blach and the Giants. The game has moved slightly after Arizona opened up -220.

Milwaukee at Dodgers: Chase Anderson is holding his own in this spot, as the Dodgers are -180 with Maeda, which is close to the opening number and more than three-fourths of the plays coming in on the home team.

Seattle at Yankees:
A little surprised to see the Mariners getting a little respect in this spot, as the Yankees and Sabathia are down to -148 over Miranda and the Mariners.

Minnesota at Toronto: The Blue Jays are -172 with Happ over Colon in a game that has received decent two-way betting action.

Baltimore at Boston: The Red Sox are -157 with Porcello over Hellickson in a game Boston is getting a good majority of the wagers.

Kansas City at Cleveland: The Indians are -125 with Merrit opposing Vargas in a game with pretty even betting.

Detroit at White Sox: The Tigers are -155 with Verlander over Gonzalez. The Tigers are getting the majority of the wagers and the line has moved up slightly.

Texas at Oakland: The A’s and Graveman opened -109 against Martinez and the Rangers Friday morning and were quickly bet up to -118.

Houston at Angels:
The Astros are now favored with McHugh -114 over Bridwell in a game that will probably climb a little bit higher.

Tampa Bay at St. Louis:
The Cardinals are -159 with Wacha over Odorizzi.
Plays: Braves -108, Angels +104.
