New York played the fourth seed Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round and comfortably won the series 4-1. This series had seven games written all over it, but New York did not have much trouble with the Cavs in this one and the Thibs’ defense looks like it will cause problems in the playoffs.
Jalen Brunson had his Knicks coming out party in the first round as he lead the team with 24.0 points per game, 4.8 assists, and 2.2 blocks. Mitchell Robinson grabbed a team high 9.8 rebounds and blocked 2.2 shots.
