Another inter-conference duel will be played in Week 13 of the NFL on Sunday, December 4, and you have an opportunity to check out the best Dolphins vs. 49ers betting pick and odds.
Miami is searching for the sixth consecutive victory when they visit San Francisco at Levi’s Stadium. The 49ers are 4-point favorites on BetOnline Sportsbook, while the total is set at 46.5 points. These inter-conference rivals will meet for the first time since 2020 when the Dolphins destroyed the Niners 43-17 in Santa Clara.
Dolphins made it five straight
The Miami Dolphins (8-3-0, 6-5-0 ATS) are playing their best football of the year. They recorded the fifth victory in a row after beating the Houston Texans 30-15 at home, thanks to an excellent first-half defense that kept the visitors off the scoreboard. Miami failed to score in the second half, but the Dolphins did score 30 in the opening half, which was more than enough for another W. The hosts dominated the total yards (339-2-10) and first downs (25-14) and forced three turnovers while committing one on the other end. One of those turnovers (fumble) Xavien Howard returned for a touchdown.
Tua Tagovailoa completed 22 of 36 passes for 299 yards and a touchdown. Durham Smythe caught one pass and it was a 4-yard touchdown reception, his first REC TD of the campaign. Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill combined for 170 yards on 11 receptions (19 targets), while Jeff Wilson Jr. had a rushing touchdown as he led the team in rushing yards with 39 on 13 carries. On defense, Elandon Roberts and Jaelan Phillips were impressive with 16 tackles and two sacks combined, while Andrew Van Ginkel and Verone McKinley III each chipped in an interception.
T Terron Armstead (pectoral) and DE Trey Flowers (foot) are out indefinitely. T Austin Jackson (ankle) and QB Teddy Bridgewater (knee) are questionable to face the 49ers on Sunday.
49ers shut the Saints down for the fourth win in a row
The San Francisco 49ers (7-4-0, 6-5-0 ATS) are playing better and better and now are on a four-game winning run. After defeating the Rams, Chargers, and Cardinals, the 49ers displayed their best defensive performance of the season in a 13-0 home victory over the New Orleans Saints. San Francisco limited the visitors to 14 first downs and 260 total yards, while also forcing a couple of turnovers and committing none in return.
Jimmy Garoppolo completed 26 of 37 passes for 222 yards and one touchdown. Jauan Jennings was on the receiving end of that TD pass, while Brandon Aiyuk had a game-high 65 yards on five catches. On the ground, Elijah Mitchell and Christian McCaffrey combined for 67 yards on 18 rush attempts. Defensively, Samson Ebukam and Dre Greenlaw recovered fumbles, each time lost by Alvin Kamara. Talanoa Hufanga led the team with nine tackles.
QB Trey Lance (ankle), RB Elijah Mitchell (knee), CB Emmanuel Moseley (ACL), and RB Tyrion Davis-Price (ankle) are out indefinitely. DT Arik Armstead (foot) is questionable to feature on Sunday against the Dolphins.
Trends:
Miami:
- 0-3-1 ATS in the last four road games vs. a team with a winning home record
- 1-4 ATS in the last five games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game
San Francisco:
- 7-2 ATS in the last nine home games
- 7-3 ATS in the last ten games following a straight-up win
- 16-7 ATS in the last 23 games overall
Miami Dolphins vs. San Francisco 49ers Pick
One of the most exciting offenses in the NFL is facing the best defense in the league. Miami has the 6th best offense that averages 25.6 points per game, while San Francisco is allowing just 15.7 ppg to its opponents. The Niners kept the rivals to below 17 points in each of their previous four games, and although the Dolphins have been in a great offensive mood, it’s not going to be easy to score 20+ against Frisco in Santa Clara. Still, we have to note that Miami scored 30+ points in each of the last four games. Anyway, I am going with the defense this time around.
Pick: Take the 49ers at -3.5 (-110)
The Total
San Francisco will find it hard to limit the visitors to below 20 points as they did in the last month to their opponents. The Dolphins have the second-best pass offense that is averaging 291.9 yards per contest, but the Niners’ pass defense is just outside the top 10 with 202.3 ypg allowed. The hosts will neutralize Miami’s run offense, so expect to see a lot of pass attempts from Tua. That doesn’t mean we will get a high-scoring affair on Sunday. Under is 14-5 in the 49ers’ last 19 games overall, while Under is 6-1 in San Francisco’s previous seven home games.
Pick: Go Under 48.5 points (-133)
