One of the most interesting NBA games scheduled for Sunday, March 5, will be played in Los Angeles, so make sure you don’t miss out on the best Grizzlies vs. Clippers betting pick and odds.

Los Angeles is desperate to avoid the sixth consecutive loss when they welcome Memphis at Crypto.com Arena. The Clippers are 7-point favorites on MyBookie Sportsbook, while the total is set at 228 points. These conference rivals will meet for the first time this season.

Grizzlies couldn’t do much against Jokic and the Nuggets

The Memphis Grizzlies (38-24, 29-32-1 ATS) were on a three-game winning streak for the first time since mid-January but failed to make it four in a row as the Denver Nuggets stopped them. The Grizzlies displayed one of the weakest offensive performances of the season in a 113-97 defeat in Denver – the second time this year the Nuggets kept the Grizzlies below 100 points. Memphis was miserable from the floor (36.9%), while the Nuggets were better in rebounds (53-40).

Ja Morant led the Grizzlies with a double-double of 27 points and a game-high ten assists along with four rebounds and two steals. Desmond Bane scored 19 with four boards, Jaren Jackson Jr. had 15 points, six rebounds, and game-high three blocks, while Xavier Tillman posted a double-double of 11 points and team-high ten boards along with four dimes.

C Steven Adams (knee) is out indefinitely. SG Dillon Brooks is out after picking his 16th technical foul of the season, so he is automatically suspended, while PF Brandon Clarke (leg) is doubtful to play in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Clippers were edged in Sacramento

The Los Angeles Clippers (33-33, 32-34-0 ATS) are going through a rough patch right now. The Clippers are on a five-game losing run; three of those five defeats came on the road, including the latest one to the Sacramento Kings. The Clippers had a chance to get a win in Sacramento, but Paul George missed a three-point pullup jump shot and the Kings snatched a 128-127 victory. Although the Clippers shot well from the field (54.0%), they did lose the rebounding battle as Sacramento recorded 45 boards opposite the Clippers’ 32.

Paul George led the Clippers with 28 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds. Russell Westbrook registered a double-double of 27 points and game-high ten assists, along with two blocks, Eric Gordon scored 21, Robert Covington had 15 points, four boards, and two steals, while Mason Plumlee chipped in 13 points and team-high eight rebounds.

SF Norman Powell (arm) is out indefinitely. C Ivica Zubac (calf) and PF Marcus Morris (elbow) are questionable to face the Grizzlies on Sunday.

Trends:

Memphis:

  • 1-5 ATS in the last six road games
  • 1-4 ATS in the last five Sunday games

Los Angeles:

  • 9-2 ATS in the last 11 games against the Southwest Division rivals

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Los Angeles Clippers Pick

Following Ja Morant’s newest news and the fact that the Grizzlies will be without their star man, I am backing the Clippers to get a W here. Memphis is better in both offense and defense than the Clippers, but without Morant and Brooks (suspension), I doubt the visitors can hurt the Clippers here. Kawhi Leonard didn’t play in the most recent game and he will be in starting lineup against Memphis, which will not help the visitors to get a win. I am going with Paul George and Kawhi Leonard to beat the Grizzlies without trouble.

Pick: Take the Clippers -4.5 (-133)

The Total

Without Morant and Brooks, I doubt the Grizzlies can contribute enough offensively to make a high-scoring game here. The Clippers have the 12th defense in the NBA, while Memphis has an even a stronger D that allows 111.6 points per game. Memphis will play without some key offensive players, so I expect to see a low-scoring clash. Under is 14-3-1 in the Grizzlies’ last 18 overall; Under is 10-1 in Memphis’ previous 11 games following an ATS loss, while Under is 23-7 in the Clippers’ last 30 home games.

Pick: Go Under 231.5 points (-133)
