One of the two NBA games scheduled for Sunday, February 12, is this inter-conference clash, and here you can take a look at the best Grizzlies vs. Celtics betting pick and odds.

Boston is looking for the fourth consecutive win when they welcome Memphis at TD Garden. The Celtics are -3.5 favorites on MyBookie Sportsbook, while the total is set at 230.5 points. These inter-conference rivals will meet for the second time this season; the Celtics won 109-106 back in November in Memphis.

Grizzlies beat the Timberwolves with ease

The Memphis Grizzlies (34-21, 26-28-1 ATS) went through a rough period during which they suffered eight defeats in nine games. The Grizzlies did respond with a couple of wins over the Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves and were impressive in the latter, especially from the field (58.3%). Memphis was better in rebounds (44-35) and made twice as many free throws than Minnesota (20-10) to secure a comfortable 128-107 victory.

Ja Morant led the Grizzlies with a game-high 32 points, team-high nine rebounds, game-high nine assists, and game-high three steals. Desmond Bane added 20 points, seven boards, five dishes, and three thefts, Santi Aldama scored 18 with four rebounds, Jaren Jackson Jr. had 15 points, six boards, and game-high four blocks, while Brandon Clarke posted a 14/4/4 line.

C Steven Adams (knee) is out indefinitely. SG Luke Kennard is acquired in a trade with the Los Angeles Clippers and is questionable to feature on Sunday in Boston.

Celtics bounced back offensively against Charlotte

The Boston Celtics (40-16, 29-26-1 ATS) opened their three-game homestay with a couple of wins over the Philadelphia 76ers and Charlotte Hornets. The Celtics are now on a three-game winning run; after failing to score more than 111 points in three consecutive games, Boston scored 127 in a 127-116 win against the Hornets. The hosts shot close to 50.0% from the floor (49.4%) and destroyed the Hornets from downtown, making even 25 triples opposite Charlotte’s eight. The C’s were also better in assists (34-26).

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with a game-high 41 points (13-21 FG, 5-10 3PT, 10-12 FT), four rebounds, four assists, and two blocks. Derrick White scored a career-high 33 points with a game-high ten dimes and game-high three blocks, while Mike Muscala and Sam Hauser chipped in 12 points apiece.

SF Danilo Gallinari (ACL), SF Jaylen Brown (facial), and PG Marcus Smart (ankle) are out indefinitely. C Al Horford (knee) is questionable to face the Grizzlies on Sunday.

Trends:

Memphis:

  • 1-5 ATS in the last six road games
  • 3-9 ATS in the last 12 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600

Boston:

  • 4-1 ATS in the last five games overall
  • 5-2 ATS in the last seven games following an ATS win
  • 13-6 ATS in the last 19 games following a straight-up win of more than ten points

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Boston Celtics Pick

Boston is playing without Jaylen Brown, but his absence wasn’t felt on the floor as the Celtics won all three games without him. The Grizzlies are in poor road form; they lost six consecutive games away from home, while the C’s won 11 of the previous 13 at TD Garden. Both teams are pretty close when it comes to offense and defense, but the Celtics have a slight advantage in each segment. I am going with Boston to cover this one because of Memphis’ struggles on the road.

Pick: Take the Celtics at -2.5 (-130)

The Total

Boston managed to keep the opponents below 100 points in three of the last five games, and although that is going to be hard to do against a top-10 offense such as Memphis’, I expect a low-scoring affair. Both sides belong to the top 10 defensively, and the Grizzlies also played excellent D in their last two games, allowing 89 and 107 against the Bulls and Wolves, respectively. Under is 9-2 in the Grizzlies’ last 11 overall; Under is 5-1 in Memphis’ previous six road games, while Under is 4-0 in the Celtics’ last four games after scoring more than 125 points in their previous game.

Pick: Go Under 231.5 points (-130)
