Probably the most exciting and intriguing NCAAB game scheduled for Monday, February 20, will be played in Forth Worth, TX, so make sure you don’t miss out on the best Jayhawks vs. Horned Frogs betting pick and odds.

Kansas is hoping for the fifth straight victory when they visit TCU at Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena. The Horned Frogs are slight 1-point favorites on BetDSI Sportsbook, while the total is set at 149.5 points. These Big 12 foes will meet for the second time in less than a month; the Horned Frogs destroyed the Jayhawks 83-60 in Kansas.

Jayhawks didn’t give a chance to Baylor

The No. 5 Kansas Jayhawks (22-5, 13-14-0 ATS) won six of the previous seven games and are on a four-game winning run. The Jayhawks returned home from a two-game road trip with a couple of victories over the Oklahoma Sooners and Oklahoma State Cowboys and beat the No. 9 Baylor Bears 87-71. Kansas kept the Bears to just 26 second-half points and scored 55 in return after losing the opening half by 13 points. The hosts were good from the floor (50.9%) and were better in assists (17-8), while the Jayhawks committed four turnovers and forced 11 on the other end.

Junior forward Jalen Wilson led Kansas with a double-double of 21 points and game-high 13 rebounds. K.J. Adams Jr. added 17 points and four boards, Gradey Dick chipped in 16 points, five rebounds, and two steals, while Dajuan Harris Jr. had 14 points, game-high nine assists, and two thefts.

Horned Frogs erupted against Oklahoma State

The No. 22 TCU Horned Frogs (18-9, 14-12-1 ATS) went through their worst period of the year of four consecutive defeats and bounced back in a great way with a massive 100-75 win against the Oklahoma State Cowboys. For the second time this season, the Horned Frogs reached a 100-point mark, which is a great sign considering TCU failed to score more than 73 over a four-game losing stretch. TCU won the first half by 20 points and then maintained a big lead without problems. The Horned Frogs were fantastic from the floor (68.4%) and dominated both rebounds (33-21) and assists (28-17).

Senior forward Emanuel Miller led the Horned Frogs with a game-high 18 points, game-high five rebounds, and five assists. Damion Baugh recorded a double-double of 16 points and season-high 11 dishes, Mike Miles Jr. scored 15, while Chuck O’Bannon Jr. added 12 points and four boards off the bench.

Trends:

Kansas:

  • 4-0 ATS in the last four games overall
  • 7-3 ATS in the last ten when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game
  • 4-1 ATS in the last five games following an ATS win

TCU:

  • 1-4 ATS in the last five games overall
  • 2-6-1 ATS in the last nine after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game

Kansas Jayhawks vs. TCU Horned Frogs Pick

I must say that these conference foes are pretty tied when it comes to offense and defense. Kansas is averaging 77.0 points per game opposite TCU’s 76.5 ppg. The Horned Frogs have a slightly stronger defense as they allow 67.3 ppg opposite the Jayhawks’ 68.3 ppg. It’s going to be a much tighter duel from the opening H2H of the year, in which the Horned Frogs dominated. I expect a different scenario this time around, and a much better display from the Jayhawks. After all, they won six of their previous games, while TCU lost four of the last five.

Pick: Take the Jayhawks at +3.5 (-133)

The Total

The rivals produced 143 points in the latest H2H encounter, and I expect to see more of the same on Monday. Between 140 and 145 points is what I am looking for, and considering that none of the last five H2Hs provided more than 143 points, that’s the reality. Under is 5-0 in the Horned Frogs’ last five after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game; Under is 5-0 in TCU’s previous five vs. a team with a winning straight-up record, while Under is 5-0 in the Jayhawks’ last five vs. a team with a winning straight-up record.

Pick: Go Under 151.5 points (-130)
